yeah, i know the later :).

yeah they would, v8s sound amazing with cams though lol. are long tube headers going to void warranty as well? i would assume so, but some dealerships ( as long as they install it ) are ok with exhaust modifications... sometimes.

this site seems to have some nice stuff.

i can't imagine a dealership being able to pin internal engine failure on an external component designed to allow the exhaust gases to exit the vehicle more efficiently. there is no way in hell headers back will cause engine failure unless there is something already wrong with the motor or one of it's components

also, my uncle's buddy's step-dad is the service manager at hopkins ford... sooooo, i assume i can get some assistance

I bought my SVT Focus there years back.

Dealers are weird with mods. Some honar the law and will fix pending the mod didn't cause the part to brake. OThers say void no matter what. There are laws out there that state if the part must be the cause of the failure to not be covered by warrenty though.

most people aren't willing to fight a dealership and take their word as gospel.

i don't understand though... a dealership gets paid for warranty work. why not just take it. gotta be more to this

Elliott18t 10-07-2009 01:28 PM

idk, some are just really gay about it. they will find the 20* of seperation that connects the failure and the mod just to void you orthers wont care.

I wonder if warrenty work gets paid flat rate like insurance, unrealistic time to get stuff done.

My moms 07' Acura RDX has a slow transmission fluid leak. Car is still under warranty, and I have a feeling that when we bring it in they will tell us it's normal or that it's our fault. Car has 22k miles.
