Don't become a Mustang fan boi. If it isn't a Roush, dont pretend it's a Roush.

exsqueeze me? i happen to think the roush facia, splitter and billet grille look better than the stock ford parts.

i'm not going to go around saying i've got a roush mustang though... just a better looking GT

DPan I hear you. I'm so tired and I just feel like today is going to be one of those days.

Ken, do it, do it. What kind of parts are you talking about? I'm trying to get gears and a converter(auto) within the next year. Means a whole lot of tire spinning on a nearly stock car.

the problem... its about $1200 for that stuff...

that 1200 is long tubes at x pipe... :o

though... i do love the look of the roush front end... but that'll also push back the supercharger :-/

Yeah I feel like the looks are not worth it if too expensive to me. If planning on going supercharger, wait on the front end.

Once you do long tubes, you will have to have a tune. Thats another $500 or so.

And I do like the Roush body alot. I saw a few new gen Roush Mustangs and they were sweet.

HickRocket1258 10-06-2009 09:03 AM

You don't HAVE to do a tune, but it would be benificial some if you want more power.

Thats the funniest observation I have read on this forum.

Tong Tubes without a tune and your car will not have any gains. I proved it with another GTO owner. The exhaust will sound like crap too(farting because it isn't running a good AFR). If he decideds to go catless, his CEL will turn on. Maybe even with cats, the CEL will still turn on. Not sure though.

Personally, if your going to go long tubes, whitch aren't street legal anyway, might as well go catless too.

Elliott18t 10-06-2009 09:27 AM

do they have ones that have detachable Cats? some of my downpipes come like that and been meaning to get one so I can switch if needed.

HickRocket1258 10-06-2009 09:37 AM

Catless will turn on CEL if you don't have the MIL eliminators. If he does have cats on them which just might be safe way to go, then it will not go off. Although he will need 02 extensions for the long tubes.

Elliott18t 10-06-2009 09:39 AM

well if the tubes are larger they will probably not get the right flow reading on the cat, thus getting a CEL.

Amazing that me and the other girl on my team at work are now keeping track of the days our boss comes in late/leaves early for no reason. Oh, except yesterday it was to go on a morotcycle ride with a guy who's divorce was made final yesterday. She's married... But hasn't worn her wedding ring since the beginning of the summer. People always find a way to surprise me.

Anyway, having a pretty decent morning so far... Kind of enjoyed the weather this morning. I'm def loving how fast my heater kicks in =]
