Picking up a used S&W 22A today. Will post a pic after range time today. Can't wait to shoot 500 rounds for pennies.

I was in the same boat a quite a few months back looking for a 1911...

Whats your price range, I was looking at inexpensive 1911's for my entry (RIA, STI, etc) However, everything I wanted on the gun put me into the 800-1000 dollar range

So I held out knowing that I would get some 400 dollar 1911 and just want what I really wanted the second I spent that 400 dollars. I held out until recently and found a gun and deal that I was looking for, and had most if not all the features I wanted in a 1911...

So what are you looking at?

marlin 917v with a tacticool spray paint job that look ok at a far but BAD up close

kid wanted 175 $ for it, i offered him 100 and he bit. so i picked it up last night, took it home and started stripping it

the after market check rest was installed terribly chunks were missing out of the stock so i had to reinstall it but other than that im happy with the way it turned out

used a red mahogany stain and i reblued the heavy barrel mounted an old Bushnell scope till my sweet 17 comes, should have it out sat varmint hunting

Going to this on Sunday with a buddy, just a heads up to you guys.

Wish I had time this weekend to go, moving out of school, dropping the 1911 of to get coated, and have to do x-mass shopping FML

Just received an email from comptac, my holster is in "production" :) ya ya ya, instead of just getting another body for my Mtac i decided to order a whole other holster to save me the time to swap bodies when im running out of the house, this way i can be like hmm 1911, or Glock..grab and go..

Going a different route with the color of the refinish this SA will see

Me and a few others I know will be there as well some time Saturday.
