Hey I have a question for whoever might have a answer for me! Got a Smith & Wesson M&P 9mm compacted any place sell a hand grip for it? My dad has a mini glock 40 and i love the way it fits in my hand since it has the two finer indents.

SvicksTc 11-15-2011 11:17 PM

I love my G19 as it's a dream to shoot and carry. But when I really want to throw down I can't believe how much nicer the G34 shoots.

i think you might mean 27 or 23. Wish i could help with the grips, but I am not very knowledgable with s&w's

Just looked at the gun its a glock 27 but when i said glock 40 i meant the round it was.

Ya to be honest ive yet to see an extra grip on the MP series...

I think the ergonomics of the gun are pretty good...Maybe you should find a gun that fits you such as you like they way the Glock feels and sell the MP

Subaruwrxst! 11-16-2011 05:17 PM

where can i legally sell or dispose of an illegal firearm?

you can not LEGALLY sell an illegal firearm, i was even hesitant to respond to you to be honest. I think, depending on how it found its way into your possession you should ask an officer or take it to one of those "no questions asked gun turn in programs" (even thought I am completely against them, but for other reasons)

They don't make it yet, but they're taking pre-orders.

For what it's worth, I think it's going to ruin the ergonomics of the M&P. It's my personal opinion that they're perfect as-is, with the only modification being a stippled grip surface. With that Hogue grip, just be aware that you'll almost definitely be forced to use the small backstrap underneath it, which sucks if you're a medium or large user. It will also make it annoying as hell to carry (if you actually do), because the sticky rubber grips shirt material like crazy and it will constantly get hung up on it. It causes printing and inadvertent open carry, which can be a bad thing if you're not planning on doing so.

It's a cheap slip on grip though, so for only $10 it's not like you're going to break the bank trying it out. If you hate it, trash it.

Everything he said in the post is true because i experienced it all with my XDm, except for the part of being forced to use a smaller backstrap. On my gun, I left the largest backstrap on and was able to get the Hogue grip over it.

Even though I was using a general Handall, it still fought me pretty hard to get on there. Once you warm up the rubber though, it went right on. Has been secure ever since.

Grip is for the full size anyways i need the compact one. Oh well just wanted to see if they had any grips to maybe improve the grip a little. Thanks tho :afro:

It's just thin rubber, you can easily trim it to fit a compact's grip. With the pinky extension mags in the compacts, the finger portion of the grip is almost identical in height to the full size M&Ps. It would mainly be the bottom of the palm side that would need to be trimmed. A razor blade and a steady hand is probably all you need for that.

Just wondering though - are you trying to actually get more grip on the gun (too slippery) or do you just like the idea of the finger grooves? If it's just too slippery for you, stipple it. I did mine (my gun in the pic below) and it's a night/day difference over the way it came from the factory. It makes the bar of soap feeling go away entirely and actually lets you get a decent grip on the gun.
