Really what saps my motivation is that I work so slowly and methodically. I don't make enough progress in a day and that kind of drains you emotionally. When I do other projects like coding or electronics ****, I can bust something meaningful together in only a couple days (without permanently destroying stuff). I get more eventual satisfaction from the car stuff though because I've never spent more time on anything before and had a good result in the end.

lol yeah @ the coding. For classes ive taken i did the projects all in a day lol.. maybe a day longer if i needed to figure something out first not really coding related. I agree, definately take your time with it. Let me know when you work on it, ill try to stop by.

The only thing people should really take away is that there is detailing and there is deep cleaning. For one thing, a proper detail imho includes some form of compounding or polishing. But when you do that, you're removing at least a small amount of clearcoat which suggests to me that you can really only do that so many times before you need a total strip and repaint. As such, you really shouldn't use a buffer on your car if you can avoid it at all. The M is over 13 years old and the paint glistens wonderfully and it's never been detailed as far as I know (besides when it was new of course). (The PO said he never polished or compounded it, it's just a well taken care of car that's never driven in harsh weather). Yes it has some microscratches on it like oakes shows in his pics but overall it shines like a mirror from a good clay and wax and my clearcoat is still thick as hell.

I dont really care what my car looks like for the show... Its the cause that matters. My car does need some tlc tho. Stupid broke ass syndrom lol

My GTO is the same way, since I lost my job in April, it seems like out of the bue I'm having issue after issue. All minor, but huge when you don't have any money.

I did the spark plugs in the bike and still can't figure out why it is studdering under low RPMs. Filters are clean, fluids are fresh.

The only thing I can think of is the intake hose from the nose to the frame has a crack, but since the crack is before the MAF I can't see that would even be a factor. Next project, epoxy the hose, if it fixes it I'll buy a enw one so its nice looking.
