Munky my ignorance did not let me think about the difference in a compact 1911 compared to full frame.

My experience is only with full framed..

ohfivegoat 11-13-2011 11:46 PM

Decided to pick up a sig saucer p238 as well as a gen 3 glock 26 and so far I'm in love haha has anyone had any experience with either of these?

He uses the supplied Kimber "tool" which is like a paperclip but as I said almost everyone loses/breaks theirs. Brian you even stated your gun didn't come with one which will pose a problem for you until you source a new one.

http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yt1uhCiPCAw Here is the video for the tool I linked earlier.

Watch them both and make your decision. Good luck!

I'm sold.. I'll order it now..

Should I get the long one or get both?

KIDDING!!! It's ok but I don't want Brian to start off on the wrong foot with this one so that's why I corrected the statements so quickly. I didn't mean to sound like a dick. :o

I used to own a Sig P229 and I loved it. Just was too heavy for a EDC so I parted ways with it. One of my most frequent EDC's is a Glock 19 and I love love love it. Slightly bigger than the Glock 26 (basically allows for 2 more rounds I believe) but other than that it's still my favorite gun to carry.

yeah the sig is a bit heavy but i don't mind it. I was torn between the 19 and the 26 and i had no reason for going with the 26 other than i liked it. Have you seen the 33 round mag that they make for the 26 and 19?

 I knew you would see things my way. :-p When I ordered my set I got both on eBay for cheaper than their actual site. The funnier thing is that I ordered it from THEM through eBay for cheaper. This also happened when I ordered the baseplate & rear plate for my Glock through them via eBay. I didn't question it I just ordered and hoped no1 caught on . I honestly use the long one more than the short one but sometimes it's nice to have both in case you do actually lose one. Or you could keep one in your range bag and one at home just to be safe.

hahahah awesome!! Only problem is by the time ur done loading one mag you've already been charged for an hour of range time unless they make a gigantic speed loader.

Munky 11-14-2011 12:06 AM

http://i46.photobucket.com/albums/f1...ohnStewart.gif it takes about as much time as loading two 15rnd mags. If it's taking you an hour you're doing it wrong  Also loading all your mags prior to going to the range will help a great deal.

i kid i kid

Honestly, I couldn't care less if I even pull a single trigger on any of your toys, I just want to stand back and admire through the lens. Okay, well I lied... I'd probably sh*t myself if you let me fire any of your stuff, even on semi. FA? Yeah definitely human feces everywhere at that point.

Oh yeah, and the chick who's obviously in the middle of doing your dishes and making you a sammich... can we see her too? :supz:

Oh nice.. i'll go over to Ebay now and check them out before I pay full price on their site then.

And if I can I'l order two of the long ones... they just seem like a better choice.

BIGGEST PIECE OF **** GUN SIG EVER RELEASED. i got one of the first ones they released, had nothing but issues and basically gave it away to get it the hell out of my collection. I lost a lot of faith in sig after that and will only buy their "old" guns now.

I shot yours and loved it, but that wasn't owning it. lol. I've personally seen three P238s break at the range. Two were the recoil spring (each cracked in half), one was the actual trigger itself. Junk. I like the concept, but they screwed something up big time.

yea, they all break haha. mine spent as much time with Sig as it did with me. For the money I would look elsewhere (kahr, Ruger, etc.)
