I, for some odd reason, love taking off on hills. I always try not to roll back more than an inch. I even had a bet with my friend that I wouldn't roll back more than 1.5 inches on the steepest hill he could find...I won.

... just launch.

russiankid 09-02-2009 08:34 PM

Why kill the clutch?

Oakes 09-02-2009 08:46 PM

When you do it right....you won't kill the clutch lol

I know guys who launch their cars dozens of times at the track and still daily drive the same clutch.

russiankid 09-02-2009 08:49 PM

You know how retarded it would be to launch a 75whp car? Wait, what am I saying...its Marcus we are talking about here.

sherwood 09-02-2009 08:50 PM

launching is def a skilled teqnique. I mastered it with my bugeye. launched that car almost every weekend at the track for 3 years on the same clutch.

Oakes 09-02-2009 08:51 PM

See, sherwood can do it!

I'm not talking about launching your POS, I'm talking about launching in general

russiankid 09-02-2009 08:52 PM

Hey hey hey...respect for that POS mobile. That car has served and is serving me/my family for the past 7 years.

Oakes 09-02-2009 08:53 PM

My dick has been serving me for the last 21 years....whats your point

russiankid 09-02-2009 08:54 PM

Point is....my POs still gets better MPG's than your Fusion. Sucka!

phate1229 09-02-2009 08:55 PM

I launched almost every day for almost 40k miles on an act clutch and it was still going strong when I crashed.

russiankid 09-02-2009 09:00 PM

I have an Exedy clutch...just an OEM replacement.

Oakes 09-02-2009 09:01 PM

If 22 hours of flying and $3600 for a round trip ticket are you're thing, then lets go.
