I have a thing on the inside of my elbow. Started out as just itchy skin about a month ago, then a day later it looked like a bug bite, then all of the skin started puffing up, and then the skin started opening up. It's been open like this for about 3 weeks or so.

ASIAN JUL 09-02-2009 11:06 AM

And a mechanic here had/has MRSA. Sweet. Add that to my list of things that fail hard in life.

Yeah..I've been putting it off because I read a lot of medical stuff and sometimes I feel like I'm a hypochondriac. But it's been a month now and it hasn't gone away. I have no health insurance so I've been avoiding it but I found a clinic for $60 a visit. Meh.

Well, I wouldn't say melt off, but yeah. It "eats" your skin.

I had MRSA twice. When you get it once, it's harder for your body to fight it off the next time. They will have to squeeze out the puss and then put you on antibiotics. One of the reasons of getting it is due to not a lot of white blood cells passing through and then it all gets clogged up. It blows though.

The first time I got it, definately started making a nice little hole into my leg about as wide as a nickel.

HOT COMPRESSES HELP!

P.S. I have a newfound love for rant and rave section on Craigslist. I ranted, and now I feel so much better.

Ugh. I'm trying to convince myself that if it's MRSA, it would've been worse by now. Stop scurring me.

Meeshell 09-02-2009 11:39 AM

Gross gross gross. Shivering at the thought of anyone squeezing puss out of anything. Yuck.

Hope it gets better fast julz! Love yew <3 and keep your head up dear... Perfectly chilled cherry coke being the highlight of your morning doesn't necessarily sound like you're having a good day

It might not be. It just might be a staff infection. Those aren't as bad but still don't want to mess with them. I had one on my neck that was so bad that people said I looked like Frankenstein.

Also it could be due to wearing yourself out as well.

Haha I had a cist under my armpit not too long ago and my girlfriend was squeezing the puss out. She was amused by it because she is a nurse haha. It definately helped bring it down though for sure.

Yeah... and now my chilled Cherry Coke is empty and into my stomach and now I have Deer Park water, which is room temp. I'm pretty emo today. Oh well.

Simple staph I'm not concerned about. MRSA, once it eats through your skin and gets into your body, I'm worried. But it's not like I have an immune system of gold, I'm figuring I'd be sicker by now.

Oh and I did drain it myself, twice.

My g/f is a professional Nanny. Went to college for early childhood ed, the whole deal. She works privately for some right people. She goes to work today and sees this in the driveway.

Thats a good day right there.

TROLL 09-02-2009 11:46 AM

Jul... instead of sitting there worried but not doing anything about it, go to the doctor asap. Come on...

And cut the soda out!

I'm only saying these things because I <3 you, but do it, now.

piku 09-02-2009 11:48 AM

Ground level refused to run the emissions test on my car. Why is it so hard to find a dishonest shop? :-P I'm stuck with $50 something for wires and $150 for coils.
