If this is your first time using a headhunter to help you find work, dont forget they are working for you. They get paid only if you accept a position. Make sure that you like where they send you for interviews. Meaning that once you go through the interview process with the perspective employer you enjoy the work, like the company and feel like you belong there. And if they try to send you to places that are either to far or not they type of place you like, tell them. It will help them pinpoint what you like.

The one pitfall of using a headhunter is that they are more concerened about placing you versus placing you where you like and fit best. Also, if you are looking through job adds on Craigslist, you will run into headhunters. Use them with the same set of ground rules.
