I wish you guys didnt live so damn far away i would love to go shooting with you all. seem like a very knowledgable bunch, I got into shooting later in life around 20yrs old, I grew up in BK so it was kinda hard to just go out to a range. Started off with 22. rifles and a few shot guns then when i turned 21 i got my handgun permit then at 22 i applied for my CC license, it took about a year to go through all the BS but it was worht it. I dont normally carry all the time tho, as I live in upstate NY now and work in manhattan, plus I take public trans. to work and park my car in a commuter lot so i dont keep the gun in the car, but on weekends depending where we are going I'll carry. I love my Taurus tho, Its a tough and easily carried, I use either an ankle holster, or Uncle mikes inside the pants holster depending on what i'm wearing.

Has anyone actually had to draw on someone before? I've had to once when my wife, (gf at the time) were up in VT camping and some guy came walking through our campsite while we were sleeping. I got out of the tent and he was just wandering around I never aimed it at him but I held it so he could see it, I asked what he wanted (with a few more adjectives) he turned around and ran off, I fired off a warning shot in the air to scare him some, then we immediatly packed our **** and got the **** outta dodge. We called the state police and reported it but nothing ever came of it.

 wow. That's ridiculous. That could land you in jail for a long time. You're lucky you were in the middle of nowhere, where the police didn't give a sh*t.

Please don't shoot into the air. What goes up must come down.

You broke rules number 3 and 4.

If you absolutely, positively MUST fire a warning shot for some reason, shoot into the ground.

How do you like that MSAR?

Thanks! I took it with my Motorola Atrix :bigeek: I love/hate the MSAR. It's a great conversation piece when I bring it out but at the same time I sometimes hate having to sit there and explain that it's an AUG clone and how much time it takes up from actually shooting.

yes I know this happened only a few months after i first got my CC, I was informed of that when we contacted the police, I told them i fired one shot as a warning b/c i was going to have to tell them i was carrying and they would of most likely checked out all my guns b/c i was out of state. The cop was pretty cool about it tho, he told me next time to shoot at a tree or the ground. This was up in the Barton area of VT, and anyone who has ever been up their will know what type of area it is.

The only real issue I have had with it came from using ****ty ammo. I was using some of that TulAmmo/Wolf/Whatever you wanna call it. It was cheap and I'm ashamed of doing it.:o Anyway every few rounds the spent casing would get "stuck" in the barrel and not extract. It would be in there so tight I would have to remove the barrel and jam the cleaning rod in to push it out. I took a nice wire brush to the end of the barrel and then polished it a tiny bit with my dremel. So far no more issues and I've switched back to brass casings only.

My Mosin is having a sticky bolt issue. Someone said to use a 12 gauge brush to clean the chamber, something about cosmoline getting stuck in there and needing to be "buffed" out. Basically when you shoot and go to eject, the bolt doesn't want to slide all the way up, it needs to be smacked up. The guy I talked to said it was pretty common but before I go to work I wanna make sure I'm doing the right thing. Advice?

advice:

man up and smack the bolt. do you have any idea how old that gun is! and it was sitting in cosmolene for YEARS more than likely. Shoot it, clean it, work the bolt and dont be afraid to use some force.

Who gives a fucck? I bought it because it's a top quality holster and it will do a great job of hiding my XDm.

I can agree with that, but the religion part was in no way taken into consideration when I bought it. I don't follow any religious denomination.

Like I said, I bought it because it is a very good holster and I needed something that would almost completely conceal a large gun on my skinny frame. And it does a good job of it.
