Check out new Holland gun club. That's where I go with my pops. I beleave theres 5 rifle and 5 pistol ranges. Gos from 25 yards out to 600. Only two things not allowed are full autos and 50bmg. It's a pretty sweet range I enjoy it a lot.

That's an awesome range. I went to watch the Contagion 2010 'zombie shoot' last year and I loved the whole place. It's about an hour from me though, so it's tough to justify joining. Every other indoor range is an hour from here as well, but you can just show up and par per hour and never make a commitment so that works better for me.

It's about a hour drive for me too. I know the yearly cost isn't that bad, compared to some indoor ranges, I just like shooting outside more then indoor shooting. Plus most times I go I'm the only one there.

Any recommendations for a good gun belt?

This will sound weird, but if there is such a thing as a designer belt, you know, for suits and stuff and it's NOT COWBOY related, lol, can you help me find it? I've been looking and so far haven't come up with anything.

Comp-tac, without a doubt the best I've used. It's solid black so you can wear it with virtually any dress pants, etc. and it doesn't look 'tactical' or anything, just looks like a nice belt. I have the 1.25" taper and it helps it to look 'dressier' when you have your shirt tucked in. I'd recommend it to anyone. I dropped pants sizes and had to buy another - hopefully the last belt I'll ever buy.

That's a pretty nice belt... a little expensive though

Thoughts on the CrossBreed Belts? I like the brown one for my everyday use..

Having issues with my G19 gen 4, whoever else has shot it, have you noticed this?

Sometimes it will eject the casing right back into my forehead.
Sometimes it will jam a casing on the way out.

Glock says I can send it back to get warranty work done but its gonna take 4-6 weeks, gonna suck being without a gun that long but maybe I'll use this as an excuse to buy another ;)

Try a 3rd Gen recoil spring before sending it back (Im not 100% this will fit, I believe Ive read it would, but Glock is just repacing the recoil spring, for these type of problems)

How often does this happen, I would be worried about carrying a gun that does not operate flawlessly

edit: Through some quick reading, It does not look that older model springs would fit in the Gen 4

However, you can get this adapter that will make it work

http://glockstore.com/pgroup_descrip...+Adapter+Ring/

This is the steps I would take if I were you before sending it back, or send it back and buy the right generation Glock (3rd Gen ;)

CleanNeon98 09-26-2011 11:29 AM

Glock is exchanging the recoil springs on the Gen 4s for free, I'll put 100-150 rounds through with that and if it doesn't help then I'll send it back. Some are saying its an issue with the ejector, some are saying the RSA fixes the issue.

Ya, Glock has the free RSA exchange, but you said it was 4-6 weeks. I could not go that long without my EDC..

Ejector issue could also be there by the way you describe the way it is deflecting, but the stovepipes I would say are attributed to the RSA. I would also suggest throwing more than 150 rounds down the pipe testing it out, but that is just me...

There was nothing wrong with the 3rd gen rsa, I dont know why Glock went and changed it the to the dual

cmr076 09-26-2011 11:32 AM

or hes holding the gun like a nancy :) ever limp wrist a 1911...

Stovepipe is fairly uncommon, I only put ~300 rounds through it the time I've had it and maybe had it do that 3 or 4 times.

Ejecting backwards happens far more often, usually 2-3-4 times per box of rounds. My worry is a hot casing down my shirt, or between my face and glasses.

RSA exchange is they send you a new spring and you send them the old. If that doesn't solve the problems, then I need to ship them the whole gun to look at the ejector, THAT takes 4-6 weeks.

Ahh, I did not even think of that...I tend to forget about that, because my girl can out shoot most guys I shoot with so little things like that I tend to overlook now

Speaking of 1911..

I am still trying to figure out what I want to do.

Im going to def pick up an Eotech (Dave *Cough*) and either sell my AR and build an AR completely to what I want to see, buy an AK or 1911

Just kidding, that sucks... Not a glock fan but a friend went with a 3rd gen because of the problems he heard they were having with 4th gens...
