Just got a cheapy red dot scope for my gsg. This little guy is fun as hell to shoot. I'm seriously considering throwing a suppressor on this and a SBR stamp.

I'm looking into buying a mossberg 535 field combo. I just wanted to know if anyone had any experience with the shotgun and if they could give me some kind of review. I do plan on hunting with this gun. Thanks everyone.

I never had that exact model but I have the 500A. Great gun, nothing ever went wrong with it.

Going to a wedding and I need to have a holster that allows me to carry while my shirt is tucked in but will still allow me to easily access my gun if I need it.

Any holster suggestions that a full time student can afford, and maybe some that I can't?

going to a gang wedding?

Nope, a wedding where there is a good possibility that my girlfriends ex who she has a PFA against will show up.

I'm trying to get her not to go at all, but it is one of her childhood friends getting married, so I'm fighting a losing battle.

I hate to make it sound like I'm trying to lecture you, because I'm certainly no superior being, but you need to think about carrying as "I need to find a tuckable holster to wear to a wedding because I carry everywhere, at all times, and without question because it's responsible to be able to protect myself and a life threatening situation does not get paused because a wedding is taking place" rather than even letting it cross your mind that so and so might show up, etc.

We all think about situations being more risky than others and think "well at least I'll be carrying", but it's not good to think of it that way for long. The idea of carrying only when you know you're going to be in a potentially dangerous place or situation is ridiculous. Carry always for no other reason than because it's simply what you do.

I know you know that, I'm just sayin'... :)

For the holster - check out the MTAC or the Supertuck. I'm hooked on my MTAC.. I love it and I don't think I'll ever even look for another option. Some say the CB ST is the same way for them. They're both awesome holsters and completely tuckable.

Then again, if being discreet at a wedding is a priority, as I know it probably is, I'd look at picking up a smaller gun like a S&W Bodyguard or LCP, etc. instead of trying to conceal and tuck your XDM. That's no small gun and even if no one sees it, you might be very uncomfortable the whole time.

I know you're not trying to lecture and I know that you are completely, 100% right.. I should have worded it differently because God forbid something does happen and that post gets used against me somehow.. but anyway, I'll deal with it at that time.

But to add to the current need, it would be nice to have a completely tuck-able holster for my general every day carrying purposes. I like my current IWB, but unless I have my belt cranked down, it constantly shifts on me and there are a very limited number of positions in which I can make that XDM's print disappear, especially being as small as I am.

As for getting a different gun, it's not really in the budget right now. Not only would I have to buy the gun, but I would need to put serious time in at the range to get to the level I am at now with my XDM. That range time means a lot of ammo and that is DEF out of my budget right now. Sometimes I hate being in college..

Not necessarily true. The one thing you have to learn/remember about a pocket pistol is that the range isn't going to be very far regardless of how good of a shooter you are. They just tend to be too damn snappy. They're referred to as "belly guns" for a reason in most instances. You're not going to try and snipe a fool 20ft away. You're gonna use it up close and personal. I practice with my Bodyguard at no more than 10ft. I find anything beyond that is just wasting ammo in all honesty.

I don't disagree... but in addition to the cost, another reason I don't like those is because even with a grip extender, I have always failed miserably at trying to shoot them, even within 10 feet. I'll aim at one spot but almost always miss by a substantial margin.

Now this is where practice comes in, but with my course load, I hardly have enough time to study, let alone take breaks for range trips (even though I know how important it is).

I was looking at the supertuck holster and I have to say that I like it.. I am looking at the horsehide with the combat cut.

I'm still comparing the two but one thing I have found is that the CB looks like it will distribute the weight of my XDM a little bit better than the MTAC will, and seeing as I will be wearing thin suit pants, I think that might be a benefit.
