Well, I'll run off a short list:

Mom is moving out of this house and down the NC - I detail out of this house, if she leaves I'm moving in with my buddy but his garage isn't near competent to do the work I do.
I just picked up a second job cause the detailing will slow down in the winter, and I'm not about to buy a shop on top of renting out if I'm not sure of the volume.
I'm currently re-kindling things with an ex and im being EXTREMELY careful with her because I'd like for things to work this time, I've been a free flailing man whore for the last 3 years and its been awesome, everything else in my life is unstable and unsure so I'd like one solid thing for once.
I want to get rid of this car and into something worth while, or get a bike, I can upgrade to an Evo or an E46 M3 of the choices I want but thats a whole 'nother can of worms.
My pops just signed on for 3 MORE years out in Arizona and might be selling his place here and relocating to there, there goes the 10 non-consecutive weeks a year that I usually see him...
I WANT to go back to school, but its out of the question this semester, I'm too busy with work and detailing to just drop that just now, but its at the top of my list to do.

Just a brief run-down.

Take some online courses. Any idea what you want to major in? Get a bike, stay away from the M3 or the Evo. If your cash flow is coming from the details, sit on your money until the spring and re-evaluate. Grab a bike, and ride like a madman. With the riding season just past it's apex, you can find killer deals, and still have plenty of time to ride and figure out if you like it or not. Sorry to hear about the mom and dad bits. As far a women, I've got nothing to say that hasn't already been said before. If you want it to work, show her you're committed, and get to gettin'. Good luck, broseph.

sir i feel for you man. take a day and just think of things 1 at a time.

I'm currently an Architectural Engineering major, I have money aside that I set for a car or such but it was conveniently inaccessible when I bought the Fusion which is why I limited myself. I wouldn't consider the car if it would stretch me in anyway, I just need a car that fits me again, I'm tired of my friends being faster than me lol. The parent bits are just a continuation of this family falling apart and I've accepted it, it's just inconvenient.

his garage will have to do for the time being
I just picked up a second job cause the detailing will slow down in the winter, and I'm not about to buy a shop on top of renting out if I'm not sure of the volume.
this is not a problem. this is smart thinking

seems like a good idea but take it slow. having someone to lean on is a great thing.
I want to get rid of this car and into something worth while, or get a bike, I can upgrade to an Evo or an E46 M3 of the choices I want but thats a whole 'nother can of worms.
if your moving out and paying rent get something affordable and fun. no need for an M3 at this point in your life
My pops just signed on for 3 MORE years out in Arizona and might be selling his place here and relocating to there, there goes the 10 non-consecutive weeks a year that I usually see him...
not sure how i feel about this since i dont know how close you and your old man are
I WANT to go back to school, but its out of the question this semester, I'm too busy with work and detailing to just drop that just now, but its at the top of my list to do.
if your serious about school then make the time for it. you will make back the money you lost tenfold when you graduate.

but wtf do i know. i lost my job, apartment, and car and now live at my gf's parents house lol

I agree with all your points, my pops and I used to be REAL close, but he found out that I knew my mom was cheating on him and basically wanted nothing to do with me for almost a year. I thought I did the right thing by not telling him because...I just couldn't be the one to do that...Idunno. I still remember having to hold my own father up because he was breaking down over this whole split - a man who had served 21 years, been in a war and 2 conflicts among other operations, raised 5 kids and held a marriage for 28 years to be basically walked on, and I knew since I was 14...they split when I was 19. We've started becoming close again, and just seems that when we do, work takes him further.

make his garage work for the time being, unless your financially able to rent out a garage

my personal opinion is that relationships usually just add stress to your life, especially when you have a lot going on. but hey, if she makes you happy go for it

try online class. then you can do it on your time. i hate school but i know in the long run it'll benefit me and be worth the time.

<333 you!!

RSX Type-Slow 08-20-2009 12:49 AM

not to sound mean but your mom sounds like a ****. that ish is wayyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyyy beat. sorry you and your pops had to go through that

Oakes 08-20-2009 12:52 AM

As much as I agree, she is still my mother, she still did do everything as best she could in raising us and honestly she did well. I've come to see that its more of a personal love interest game with her, because financially we're fine. My dad is making over 500k a year and her boyfriend doesnt make much more, he just has less kids so more at his disposal. She just has terrible timing with making up her mind.

love you too jamie, you can still come bang me.

Enjoy what you've got when you've got it, my young friend. After high school, it's nothing but lightening fast monotony, some aggrivation, and more high-schoolish antics.

(edit) I know you're already gradumacated.

Oakes 08-20-2009 12:59 AM

Life is always too fast. Yesterday I was jizzin on some bitches face not giving a **** in the 11th grade, now I gotta ****ing make some moves that will affect me for a long time.

Oakes 08-20-2009 01:00 AM
