i ****ing loooove people haha

if anyone is familiar with markley st in norristown... you get onto that by going straight from the 202 bridge out of KoP.

it starts two lanes, then you cross over a light and have a few hundred feet of two lanes before they merge. common vehicular courtesy here is that if a car is in front of you in the lane next to you, they have right of way to merge in front of you.

now, i follow this because i don't want an accident of any kind happening and keeping me from getting home... some people do not. such as today

i've got a guy to my right up to my rear quarter panel, not slowing down... hardly speeding up (he may have been trying but he had a POS). so the lanes merge before he pulls up to my door... he doesn't stop trying... and naturally i am not giving up my position, it would require me slamming on my brakes and causing a ruckus with the cars behind me. so I pace him and slowly start inching over closer to him... closer... closer... closer... he finally backs off (about 100' before i hit a tractor trailer unloading crap)

i look in my rear view and this guy is cursing up a storm, i see him yellow "mother ****er" and "asshole"... and i am dyyyyying in my car.

seriously though, common courtesy dude... i'm in front of you, you let me merge in... its not like you're going to get home any faster

So the shop told me 110 bucks to replace the upper control arm ball joint. He said the part is $36 bucks( went to Napa to verify, no its $25 for the cheap one). So I got a whole arm with a new bushing and ball joint for $40, and installed it in 10 minutes. So why charge me the 50-60 bucks for labor when it does not take an hour to do it?

because they dont charge by how long it actually takes them... they charge by how many hours the "book" tells them it will take.

I mean because I'm at work. I'm passing up a good chance to go to a bar on the corner of my street to see a friend and go to a car meet. I don't even have work tomorrow! I didn't have to worry about ID, a way home... anything. I'm dumb. No I'm not.

The Captain 08-11-2009 07:40 PM
