CleanNeon, I conceal Carry my G19 everyday. Im 6'0, 160lbs (skinny :( ) and i have no problems concealing it....I honestly dont know if I would want something smaller (personally) because of how comfortable I am with the G19 and how well it fits into my hand (big hands)

I think you need to invest in a decent holster

Ill have to post some videos of the girly shooting (she is killer ;) )

Nice, guessing its a cia? Just wondering why are you only looking at bushmaster?

zuki19 07-28-2011 10:38 PM

My body type is the exact same and I carry a 4.5" XDM .40 S&W and am able to completely conceal it. Alex, if I can pull that off, you should def be able to hide a G19 because it is significantly smaller.

true, but colt not they best now and days, 20+ years ago yes. if i was you i would look at what you plan on doing with it/ what your plan on adding to a stock bushmaster m4. i dont know what your budget is but look around man. one of my first ar15s i bought complete was a s&w mp tactical 15. i started looking at what it would cost to buy a cheaper ar15, add a free float upper, quad rail, flip up sights. i ended up getting the mp15t that comes with all of these things for 1150 brand new in the box shipped. the gun list for 1700 from smith & wesson, only thing i added was a different stock and now im gonna add a different trigger. all im saying if you plan on buying just a bushmaster m4 and leaving it the way it is then thats great. but we all know how we love to mod are guns just like are cars. not saying smith my only choice either, theirs a lot of good companys making ar15 now and days.

My buddy bought an AR15 and he has nothing but problems, he's trying to get rid of it... not really a fan of the AK and how it feels but i gotta admit reliability is there... people say they recoil so bad... I dont think its to bad but yet I had the grip... could pretty much unload and be pretty accurate... as for the m4 heard nothing but good things about them... but ACR is pretty convincing... I would try to get a mp5sd 9mm but i know that is far out of my price range.

who made your buddys ar15? you could pick up a mp5sd clone, i know a dealer who sells them, two tax stamp gun plus 2300. as long as you can get a sign off on a nfa weapon(or do a trust/llc). this is semi auto only.

I'd have to ask him... I'm back home again gonna finish school and probably head back to the house... I may just grab the m4, then use the rest of my money on a evo 8/9 once the GA sells after I get the motor back together.

Sorry didn't see this until now. It's not a real AUG. It's an MSAR STG556. It shoots great tho. Just like most AR's I've ever shot. The trigger takes a little getting used to but once you figure it out you can have some real fun with it. The only issue I'm having with it right now is that casings aren't ejecting properly. They're getting stuck in the barrel and I'm having to remove it and push a cleaning rod through to get them out.:bigeek:

NO!!! I already traded my original one to Pagoda240 in a momentary lapse of judgement and made up my mind that this one will remain with me forever.

Cant seem to say away from the range with the new AR-15, thing has shot great. The first range trip i went with federal brass and wolf steel. It choked on the brass a few times and fed the steel wolf flawlessly. Second trip i took just the wolf steel i had left and it ate it all. Third trip I picked up some brown bear silver cheap, dirty ammo and it has ate all the steel i throw at it. The wolf was not accurate at all, but the brown bear i was quite impressed with and it doesnt bother me how "dirty" it is, I thoroughly have cleaned it right after every range trip. I have been out 5 times now, and continues to love the steel? Some more accessories arrive tomorrow...

*Copied from another thread*

Well its been forever since ive been beyond the lens and my dad asked to go to the range today, so i took the camera along...

looks like you've never been introduced to the AR-15 bible on officer.com:

http://forums.officer.com/showthread...y-an-AR-15-huh

Bushmaster is hit or miss. There are plenty of other options out there that will be just as, if not more reliable. Putting them on the same level as Colt is kinda silly, imo. (no I do not own a Colt nor am I a Colt fanboi)

Had a great family outing to the range yesterday my father, sister and uncle. Got my ar sighted in and good but need to pick up 5 round mag and a shorter bipod have too lift too high off the ground shootng prone. Best part of the day was after I walked the rifle on target and let the gun cool my little sister shoots the bulls eye 3 times then looks at me and goes you suck

Then I remembered that when I was shooting a few weeks ago at my buddies farm, the tube in my TruGlo TFO's came out and disappeared in the field... does anybody think that TruGlo will fix this for me?

SvicksTc 08-07-2011 10:18 PM

Called TruGlo and they had me send my slide in today. They will fix it for free and send it back to me.

I also decided to completely disassemble the Marlin today to clean it for apparently the first time since it was made in '83... and now I can't get the damn thing back together.

*edit- never mind, I got it back together. lol
