Not sure what you mean on belt. If I can try someone's G19 holster and see if I can do it comfortably, I would end up keeping it. I've been trying to carry it IWB, maybe that was the mistake.

I want a 2011 but for now a Hog will do..

Went to Kings Shooter Supply with some friends so they could pick up some reloading supplies and just check out a new gun store. Didn't plan on buying anything thought I was happy with the stable till I saw this in the cabinet. BIG HAWG - MATCH , best part label said 1 mag but box had 3 more. I put it on layaway immediately and came home and did some budgeting magic and was there today to pick it up . Put about 100rds thru it at my local indoor range and came home to order some parts and installed some grip tape. I plan on shooting it in a 3 gun tomorrow, wish me luck...

Side not I am really starting to love alloy frames I know have 3 this one , Light weight loaded and UCII.... THe weight difference really makes them feel so much better but has not affected my recoil management ...

I have a spare kydex OWB holster for my G19 I can sell you. I conceal it fine with a tshirt over top untucked and with a jacket it's a no brainer any other time of the year. Like I said before I rock it that way all year long. I'm too big for iwb

Rodder - Yes and no to the gun belt. I got a really thick 1 1/2 inch I would say belt from Kohls. It's very firm but probably not as good as a $50-70 belt. I honestly have become spoiled with carrying the LCP and the Glock only comes with me if I feel bad for not carrying it or if I know I'm going somewhere real ghetto.

not trying to be a dick but if you think you only need a gun in the ghetto you really need to up your self awareness. What if you break down or get lost. Now a days two to three blocks off any good part of town is the bad part of town. Don't get me wrong any gun is better than no gun.

Munky 07-19-2011 01:32 AM

Amen!!! Went to a concert Saturday in Camden. Person driving took one wrong turn coming off the Ben Franklin Bridge and I really wished I had brought my gun. But sadly I'm not crazy enough to take one into The Peoples Republic of Jersey. :(

I got a DeSantis Stealth this morning and I really like it. I'm carrying at 4:00 and except for a few positions I don't feel it at all.

Drifty, no problem. I've went to school/worked in Philly since 2004 so I know how dangerous it can be down here especially at night. Like I said earlier I always have my Ruger LCP on me unless I'm going to NJ or I'm going to be drinking or somewhere I'm not aloud to carry. I personally feel safe with the LCP for 99% of the situations but I do carry my glock once and while still.

In some cases I feel the LCP even might be a better concealed carry gun in a situation because it's a lot easier to reach into my pocket as if getting my wallet, then to try to lift my shirt up with one hand and grab the gun with the other. Not to mention it gives me my other hand free. I find it slower to draw my glock with lifting under my shirt with only one hand. I'm sure people will have thier own opinions on this situation though.

We desperately need someone with full auto toys to come out to my buddy's farm one weekend.

Only rules are the "4 rules". We have lots of fun.

father built in the late 80s, its a smith enterprise forged receiver. this was 1 of 115 ron smith and his father built. this gun was built with all brand new gi parts and trw bolt, heavy krieger SS Barrel . its double lug receiver and glass bedded stock (mcmillan). has a smith enterprise scope mount with a real art 2 sniper scope. i will say this gun is freaking heavy but is a true 1000 yard gun, i cant beleave how accurate it is shooting even with open sights. the other scope is a leatherwood artel, it is a real sniper scope brought back from vietnam that did 2 tours, yes it has kills on it. hope you guys enjoy.

Since drifty240 bought his Big Hawg he hasn't been showing his original Para 1911 single stack any love. So I took it off his hands to keep my Kimber UCII company.

SvicksTc 07-27-2011 03:48 PM

Just the upper :) I am going to purchase a different lower down the road and then iron out the issues with the 7.62x39...I really think its a bolt issue

Reds82 07-28-2011 03:23 PM
