Hahaha! I thought that was hilarious! I was like "Who the hell is this guy?" when you started leaning back. I am near sighted and blind as a bat at night without glasses. Good seeing you. Was that a date!?

I haven't been to the city in a long time. I will be going in a week a few times as my brother is coming up here. I sure as hell am not taking the BMW there again. Parallel parking a tank is not that hard...but in shady area's its scary. But Ken will remember how we parked and there was still 3 hours left on the meter.

mouth is killing me.
not planning on being conscious all weekend starting in an hour

russiankid 08-08-2009 05:00 PM

So we got a new vacuum cleaner and I didn't know that our old one missed so much crap.

piku 08-08-2009 05:24 PM

Meh I had fracking slim fast for breakfast. And so far I did

330xi:
Spark plugs, air filter, cabin filter, oil and filter

M3:
Spark plugs cabin filter

Left to do:
M3: exhaust hangars, reverse switch, trans and diff fluids. But I'm kinda tired. Spark plugs are annoying.

russiankid 08-08-2009 06:01 PM

Whats so annoying on spark plugs? They're a piece of cake.

phate1229 08-08-2009 06:55 PM

yeah in the celica and mr2 I did them in about 5 min

ASIAN JUL 08-08-2009 06:56 PM

so fecking bored

piku 08-08-2009 07:04 PM

Plugs are annoying because you have to lean over the car. Kinda hurts your back after a while. On the plus side, because of a minor mistake on the xi (took off a substantial chassis reinforcement plate thinking the drain plug was behind it) I now have TIS 2007 and it's awesome-o.

So yeah check this out though.
1996 M3 spark plugs:
Remove cover
remove coil
change plug
put coil back on
done.

2006 330xi spark plugs:
Remove cabin air filter
Remove cover over brake reservoir
Remove cover over windshield washer tank
Observe that bmw put the wrong bolts in the wrong holes and stripped the fastener for the cowl
Undo wiring harness in front of cowl
Unbolt and remove cowl
Remove cover on engine
remove coil
replace plug
repeat.

So yeah, more annoying but get this...

Air filter on 96 M3: Unfasten two little tabs and the whole filter slides out on a cartridge. Replace, reinsert done.

2006: Unbolt 2 10mm bolts
Undo maf clamp to intake box
unplug maf. Maf is connected with a very NON bmw like tabbed connector, not the easy screw kind.
Yank the intake box out
Remove 8 T25 torx screws
Open intake box and replace filter.
Reverse.
Due to positioning the MAF is a god damn pita to get the hose back over the air box.

BMW is ****ing up big time...... It's still clearly a bmw but I'm really annoyed.

I got sunburnt yesterday, argh. Apparently spf 15 ain't enough for being in the sun for 5 hours for the first time this year.

I think some Dairy Queen would make me feel better, but I'm stuck at work and I don't know of any that are close.

Got Insulin? 08-08-2009 08:49 PM

Still rockin' poison ivy AND sumac on the face, forearms, and neck, so I sympathize Bry. Stuck at work on a Saturday? Bummer....
