Basically the point is , it's really not worth risking anything for this show anyway...don't worry, we won't be missing 90% of the garbage rice-rockets at the show either hahahahaha. We just go to laugh at stuff, and see the 2 or 3 awesome cars out of the whole show.

90% of the cars are garbage rice-rockets? which meet exactly did you go to that was like that?

It was low 50s and raining like 2 or 3 years ago and a ton of people still went. We just made some of the local businesses upset cause we were crowding inside to keep warm LOL.

I say keep it on regardless. 59* and a small chance of rain is good enough weather for me and my 2.5 hr drive. I've been to junkyards with a foot of snow on the ground and 10-15* windchill for a few hours on end and this will be way better.

i agree. next yhear this should be a rain or shine event so we dont have to sit around waiting to hear the final call (which always seems to happen 4 hrs before the meet)

If you're speaking of the Jordan that I know, he would and did drive his Z06 in the rain, he even drove it during the winter. F-bodies are bad in the rain. What makes them bad in the rain? A good set of tires does wonders in the rain. Either way, from my stand point, you feel as if you're too good to come to this show, which is fine because no one really gives two ****s if you show up or not.

Wow you must be rich or something. Do they even make cars that cost more than $30,000? I've never heard of any, and if they did I am sure they definitely wouldn't be driven in the rain.

This is CAR MEET...not CAR SHOW. some people i think are forgetting this. At CAR SHOWS, trophies and awards are handed out for best of show, and best appearing out of different categories. The only things being handed out at this event are vendor handouts and raffles for free stuff. This is a meet where really every just likes to come out, have a good time, and SEE other cars. Its not about whos car is better then yours or another. Dont come out here expecting it to be all high end high class cars, because its not. Yes there may be a few there, which is great because you dont see them every day. If you want to see that kind of s**** take your little wolfsberg whatever and drive to florida or out to LA. Everyone who comes to this meet i think are just people who like cars, who owns a car and cares about it and wants to modify it. We're all not track racers, quarter mile dominators with 9 sec. cars, or moto X champs. Just the every day person who enjoys cars. Dont get a poor attitude about some of the cars that arent exactly as nice or tuned up like the rest. WHO CARES! IF YOU EXPECT ANYTHINY OTHER THEN THAT, DONT COME. it would be one less person we would have to worry about loosing on the drive there :)

Hey guys, just a reminder not to get too far off track here... you can surely disagree with what he is saying and I think most of us do, but lets keep focused on the good here!

I wanted to remind everyone that we will be making a decision regarding the weather on Saturday afternoon. We are hoping that things clear up and look decent for Sunday and if so we will move forward with the event then, but if there is a clear expectation of rain then we will make the decision to push the event back to the rain date on Saturday, May 12.
Our goal is to hold the event in nice weather so that everyone can enjoy the day outside.

Cross your fingers for dry weather on Sunday!

afarrell39116 04-20-2012 08:55 AM

yeah but what happens if, ok you decide to postpone the event for sunday and push it back to may 12....and rain is forcasted for may 12th aswell? lol second rain date???

c7scayman 04-20-2012 09:18 AM

I am just assuming rain so I am not coming to this meet if it is held this weekend. The notice would be too short.

PhilaCivic 04-20-2012 09:21 AM

just donated for a VIP spot, at worst i just donated $25 for a great cause if something comes up for the may rain date

Da Revolver 04-20-2012 09:22 AM

Of course!...You can ride a bicycle there if you want

AutobahnRacer 04-20-2012 09:57 AM

Sucks I hope the weather turns nice. I have everything all lined up for KOP Caravan, Police blocking off streets to the turnpike and than Staties helping us on the turnpike.

Oh boy. The whippled guy really thinks his **** doesn't stink. You are just making yourself look bad. You aren't risking it if you aren't acting like an idiot driving. I hope if you got money to throw around for a Cobra that you can spare some change for a donation.

Alright take it into an IM or PM. Don't trash the thread.

What if R. Kelly was God and was making it a golden shower instead of rain? Because that how people seem to feel about normal rain.

What if we have another day like Atco last Sunday where it rained in the morning but stopped in the afternoon? Will it still be on for a scenario like that?

afarrell39116 04-20-2012 10:59 AM

yea see thats what im thinking and hoping...like on thursday how it was overcast and a little rain in the morning then it cleared up mid morning and was a beautiful day on from there. I'd say instead of looking at the percentage...look at the radar. they could predict rain deff. for sunday but for when on sunday. It could be 60% rain but that rain could come real early moring...or later that evening. I think there will be alot of people pissed off if they cancel the event and its nice all day and then rains later that night.
