D is right. It was nice to actually see that not all TST people can actually stay on topic about something serious.

I don't like being sick either but I'd be working if I was sick as well. Can't afford being sick.

crazyduckme 07-28-2009 09:46 AM

What could we talk about today and stay on topic? LOL.

LOLOLOL. Yeah seriously. HAHAH. well this was a problem that happens every month (for me at least). Yup that's right, I am talking about it :P SUCKERS.

But I feel a lot better now... just REALLY tired.

I enjoyed the conversation yesterday.

That sucks! Hope you're feeling better today! I hate getting sick in the middle of the night and falling asleep only right before you have to get up for work... It's the worst way to start a day!

Morning everyone!

Elliott18t 07-28-2009 09:52 AM

lets talk why offices/cubicles should have cots built in to take a nap :(

Morning everyone!

Thanks! I'm feeling a bit better. But you're right... it's really the worst waking up like that... :( Blah.

Did you listen to Preston and Steve this morning? They were talking about that. I don't even have a cubicle. I have a collapsable desk. We got a big spirt of employees at one point. I'd say about 10 people in a months spand. They are going to rent out the suite next to us until their lease is up.

Like that episode of Seinfeld? That was a genius idea. We have a "meditation room" at my work that has dimmed lights, a door that locks and extra pillows in it. I want to book that and take a nap

oh wow. this building was an old warehouse so its all offices and cubes :( so its either really cold or hot in here.

Meeshell 07-28-2009 10:10 AM

I work at GMAC Mortgage in Fort Washington... They took over the old convention center and remodeled the whole place. It's a pretty awesome building. But being climate controlled is not one of our facilities strong points. It's hot and humid all morning, about -39 degrees at lunch and then slowly warms up to about 65 by the time I'm ready to leave. It sucks!

crazyduckme 07-28-2009 10:21 AM

So serious question of the day. How do you GUYS feel about a woman asking a man to marry him?

(this is totally hypothetical. I'm not asking Brandon to marry me!)

Oh and Ladies, you can totally let me know what you think too.

The Captain 07-28-2009 10:25 AM

It's totally gay and if a girl did it to me i would say no.

Elliott18t 07-28-2009 10:25 AM

I know its traditional for the man to ask, but im ok with non-traditional things. I see no problem in the women asking if that is what she wants to do. In fact a friend of mine just got married today.

DPancoast 07-28-2009 10:26 AM

I think it's cute if a girl proposes. Mostly because girls are good at cute things an planning and usually stuff works out just a LITTLE bit better if they make it happen lol. Don't get me wrong, I'm giddy about the day I propose... whenever that is. But it's gonna be all about when it feels right. I have ideas and places with all different meanings, but it's just gonna happen an it'll be awesome someday.

I just want everyone to know, that I am a forum robot

crazyduckme 07-28-2009 10:28 AM

I love hearing stories about how people proposed to their significant other. I have so many ideas for guys and no guy friends who are even remotely close to being engaged.

HickRocket1258 07-28-2009 10:38 AM

I would think it would be ok for the girl to propose. Sounds good to me. Care to share any of these ideas?

One idea would be around xmas time. Decorate a Christmas tree with lights and only one ornament: a ribbon or bow tied around a velvet ring box. :) You can invite the girl over and she'll go nuts. <3

Hmm... there are a couple cliche ones like cook and set an elaborate candlelight table for a quiet romantic dinner for two at home. Serve her a glass of champagne with the diamond ring in the bottom or ribboned to the stem.

Or have dinner together at your favorite Chinese restaurant. Have the waiter give her a special fortune cookie with "Will you marry me?" in it. Or you could have it say, "You will receive a diamond in the very near future." And present the diamond in a box.

Another: Freeze the ring in an ice cube and drop it in her glass, while you are at your favorite restaurant. When she realizes what is in her drink, get down on one knee and ask her to marry you.

And another: Write a marriage proposal in the sand for her while you are at the beach. Then call her over and let her see what you wrote.

I enjoy the beach proposals. My uncle is a wedding/engagement/event photographer and he deals with this stuff everyday and tells me so many stories!! It's great!
