My family loves him too. Especially after my past boyfriends. My mom's even been known to ask about his car and how everything's going for him with it. It's nice. The fact that my dad talks to him is all that matters. That right there means my dad likes Dan. My family just... doesn't do much. It's hard to tell if anyone likes anyone.

Michelle, I'm in agreement with just about everything you said on here today! Way to stand up for everything you tried explaining to Nick (and everyone else) on behalf of us good girlfriends!! Gold diggers and sluts ruin it for the girls who aren't shallow and really are willing to go the extra mile for the boyfriend that we care about. Sure you have to find the right guy at the right time - but depending on where you are in life, and the things you've been through, love is love. And once the real thing hits you, you really can tell it's the one!

Work sucked today and I couldn't get online from my iTouch all day. A lot of this conversation reminded me how lucky I am to finally have someone that's willing to show me and remind me how much they care and how much I mean to them. Totally reminded me of some old boyfriends who didn't do ****.. and some girls that I used to be friends with that I'm wicked glad I don't talk to anymore. Girls really do suck ass... most of the time - clearly unless you find those good ones named Michelle!! haha jk jk

Working your ass off gets you places. My dad climbed the ladder pretty damn quick. He's only 39 and he's making a lot, and it will only get better from here. He even took a pay cut by leaving his job and going back to his old one... but within like 5 months he was back up to what he was making at his old job. Pretty sweet. I'm making a lot already... and I hope I climb to an awesome level and make enough to support my awful habits and a family :)

Don't you dare JK at the end of that! MICHELLE'S FTW!! :) HAHAH!!!

But thank you for agreeing with me!! It's nice to hear another woman shares the same opinion as me! And I'm definitely on the same page as you with the looking back at past boyfriends.... sometimes I just think "what the hell was I thinking?!" and "Why did I waste so much time"?! But after all that searching... you finally find the one who proves to you how much they love you and how much they want to be with you. It's nice finding that special someone.

I'm happy for you and Dan! I really am! And we still have to go on a double date soon!!!

I've been through my share of women. For the longest time it was super easy to get busy but not so easy to girlfriendinate them. I thought maybe it was my er "performance" but nope most of them wanted repeat performances. With that I've learned a big life lesson. Girls are just like guys, just worse. Guys are honest and up front and girls rarely are.

That said, I've been with the current one for 9 years. We're the weirdest couple around, will probably never get married but we'll never split. We love each other way too much. Some day the thing that will solidify our relationship won't be marriage but will be oops babies.

Yeah, he left his old job and tripled his salary in 9 months, and has since increased it. That salary doesnt include his monthly bonuses, in short he's helped LAUNCH a huge corporation even further as soon as he got there. His old company realized his potential but tried keeping him quiet at the rates they were paying him...now theyre offering a matched salary to have him back.

Yep, I'm happy for him, I just want him to start buying Ferraris and what not so I can.....detail them....lol. However, with that job he's gone 40+ weeks of the year and is home this weekend for my moms bday and to bring my sister home who went out to visit him

piku 07-27-2009 04:10 PM

Scapegoat 07-27-2009 04:11 PM

My dad travels a lot too, but not nearly as much as that. He also works 70+ hours a week so I don't really see him too often. He's kinda ridiculous. He worked 96 hours last week, and only put that he worked 40!! WHO DOES THAT?! He should have at least put HALF of what he worked. Geez.

Oakes 07-27-2009 04:15 PM

yeah, i could probably call my dad at any point of the day/night and he'll be working haha

I for one, hope to be owning my own engineering firm with my architectural engineering degree, then you can all find me on 6speedonline buying the newest LP640 or Veyron ;)

Shoot for the moon mate! I'm trying that out myself, hence I own a ****ty Sentra (probably trading it in and leasing something soon, to cut back even more on $$) and in law school. Sacrificed a lot last year, but it's paying off...hopefully.
