Someone got beat to death in a parking lot outside of McFadden's and I think one of the guys who beat the man was a Phillies fan. They got in a confrontation and took it outside to the parking lot. Either way it was messed up. I'm sure if you look on the internet you can find it.

Elliott18t 07-27-2009 09:30 AM

^ yeah what happened?

omgjacki 07-27-2009 09:34 AM

Won't let me post.

He was a friend of one of the girls I work with. I though she was just being quiet because it's Monday. I can see I was wrong.

Man, this city continues to want to build a bad reputation through **** like this.

Elliott18t 07-27-2009 09:43 AM

hope he is in jail for life AT LEAST. Thats just retarded, in no way could that be justified.

Scapegoat 07-27-2009 09:46 AM

all parties involved were philly fans... apparently the guilty party was from a bachelor's party.

I don't think they're going for life because it was alcohol fueled and not pre-meditated manslaughter. Though, i do agree that those involved should get life in prison

Yeah Dave was from Lansdale. It's why I don't talk **** at bars.

I didn't know him but Justin and some others did.

In. Weekend was awesome! Today is going ok so far. Nothin crazy to report.

apex32 07-27-2009 10:25 AM

damn thats crazy.. and really dumb.

Oakes 07-27-2009 11:13 AM

That one quote was right, "it's a few knuckleheads that make the rest of the fans look bad" I've definitely come across these douchebags that start **** with any fan who isn't "loyal" enough or worse, an opposing fan. Sure, we love our teams and our city but it is not worth a persons life in any way. I personally would like to kick the faces in of those who did this, I know it seems counter intuitive but lets see if they feel a beating death was worth a bar argument.

I dont' know how it started but I know Dave was there for a bachelor party, he was the bride's brother which, in turn, would make the bar tour the guilty party but we don't know why it happened in the first place.

Scapegoat 07-27-2009 11:27 AM

hmmm. ok, I'm not sure who was all involved. how things got started, etc...

sucks any way you put... tons of lives ruined over something ridiculously stupid

DPancoast 07-27-2009 11:28 AM

Ugh... it's such a shame that it had to happen that way. RIP Dave...

Oakes 07-27-2009 11:29 AM

like a street race, a bar argument, a dare, drunk driving, among other ridiculously stupid things

Scapegoat 07-27-2009 11:30 AM

i don't understand why guys can't fight like guys anymore though... the dude goes down you've made your point and the **** is over. and you fight one on one unless someone pulls a weapon.

I agree completely, I got in a few fights growing up, it was at most a crowd that'd stand around but keep distance and allow the fight to go on. Now it's HEY EVERYONE KICK THIS GUYS ASS! so a bunch of ******s can get their hits in on something that had nothing to do with them. Unless a weapon is pulled, no one else ever needs to step in, I've called a few guys out on their "fights" before...usually turns out they had the help of 2-3 friends in "Beating a guys ass"

I'm sorry, this topic just bothers me so you guys are going to get my opinions on it. There are way too many pussies out there anymore and some guy losing his life over stupid **** like this bothers me
