If you have a 4s, skip the 5 and go 5s or wait for the next one to come out.

So here's the long story,
Work provides me with a phone, it's currently an iPhone 4s. I've been fine with the iPhone as much of my other electronics and crap is apple. So they all tend to play rather nicely together. A co-worker broke his HTC one and is getting a replacement, but he was already given a new Samsung, so I have the opportunity to take his HTC One replacement, or I can keep my iPhone 4s. If i keep my iPhone I can't say when i will get an upgrade unless i break my phone, which it seems these people do a lot (whether or not it's intentional to get a newer phone or not I don't know) I don't really have much control over my choices due to it being a work provided phone, and I'm not high enough up on the totem poll to be able to request that i want this or that. I've been playing wight eh HTC one today and it's cool, works well, will take me some time to fully get used to it, but it's not bad by any means. I like the screen size although the phone in general feels slightly large in my hands. I dunno, I'm torn. I'm so used to the iPhone but also am frustrated with the limitations of the iOS and apples "you can only do what we allow" mentality.

yea thats sort of what i'm thinking, i'll play around with the HTC more tonight and see how it interacts with my Home media system, thats really the only thing i want it to be able to work with flawlessly.

Maybe you need a flip phone if you're so concerned with Apples BS because you're trying to do too much/spend too much time on your phone.

Think about why you 'want' a different phone and what the 'benefits' of switching really is.

Delete any videos, games, etc off you phone. Only use it for texting, email, music, and calling and see how long you really last and re-evaluate your desire to switching.

Uh, ok... I don't have any media stored on my phone, I stream it to my phone, so a large benefit here is the HTC has 4g. I do enjoy playing some games on the other hand and it will suck to loose my level 60 clash of the clans game and base that i worked so hard to build, as well as my Hay day farm and the top score on whirly word.


I played around with the HTC One some more last night and it seemed to work pretty well with my Home Media system. I really liked it's built in TV app that allows you to control your tv via the phone, in fact I liked the browser/guide a whole lot better than the verizon set top box guide. The marantz remote app didn't connect to my receiver, but they mentioned that the receiver would need a firmware upgrade, but I'll wait on that until i actually have the new phone as my iPhone works with it just fine now. So i think i'll probably take the plunge, I'm sure if i find out that I hate it down the road I could get an iPhone again. But I think I will enjoy it.

So far I am liking the phone, but absolutely HATE/DESPISE the desktop software to sync files with.

I'm still using my S4. No complaints.

I wouldn't pass up an iPhone for anything except for a galaxy or LG G2. but I don't even have a smart phone anymore :(

i still have my iPhone in the case that i don't like the HTC.

Today needs to end so my vacation can start. A week down in Ocean City, MD. Stogies on the balcony, some night fishing, beers. God do I need this right now. I love my work, and most of my co-workers, but there is one co-worker who seriously needs to be fired. Just a raging a thunder****, who is habitually late.

How the **** do you stroll into work everyday at least 20-30 minutes late (sometimes more), yapping on your phone talking like a 16 year old girl (she has to be in her late 30s early 40s) and have the audacity to leave 2 hours early yesterday!!?!?!

I also don't know how she gets away with taking a lunch at her desk to eat food for an hour, and then clocking out for her lunch to go sit in her car for another hour.

Just a little pre-vacation rant to loosen me up so I can enjoy myself next week.

Really starting to hate shopping for a car, I find deals everyday... When I don't have money to spend on a car. But now that I do, everyone wants 10k for their 01 3 series with 185k on it. It's getting ridiculous out there

LOL. I sold my 01 330ci for $8,500 last year with 140k miles and that took forever. Started at $11,500 cause that's what it 'booked' for.

I wish I could unload my scion and my mustang quick.

The trade in values are pretty good, but one dealership that has a car i'm interested in wont budge off "auction value" of my scion.
