laser92dsm 02-19-2010 01:08 PM

Hey olmytsi how are the cops down there with you staight pipe on your car? Do they hassle you at all?

olmytsi 02-19-2010 01:44 PM

JJ, of course man, i got a 2 bedroom townhouse right in downtown Miami.

Cops here are like cops in Philly, they have too much to worry about and dont really care.
Plus, theres no emissions and inspections here...lastly, this is the city of crazy cars, you seee the loudest craziest exotics and muscle cars on a daily basis...def a good place to b if ur a car guy.

Lambos like the gallardo and murcielago are a dime a dozen, the ferrari f430 is like a mercedes here, same with the porsches and phantoms... Ive also seen a few saleen twin turbos, bugatti veyrons, ferrari enzo, slr mercedes etc....and most of them are modded with crazy loud exhausts

laser92dsm 02-19-2010 02:50 PM

Yea the last time I was down in miami it was years ago but i went to orlando 2 years ago and there were exotics everywhere including the family friends i was staying with on of their sons had a supercharged range rover. Im planning on going down again this year.

That's awesome. Did you drive the car down?? Or did you ship it down?? I would want to to drive down there in the talon. HA. That would be an experience.

olmytsi 02-20-2010 09:01 PM

I trailered it with a uhaul truck + trailer...4 of us made the drive down, 2 people in the uhaul, 2 people in the lexus. I drove the uhaul for most of the drive as I wanted to make sure my baby got here in one piece :)

Def sick to drive the talon down here!!!!!

olmytsi 02-27-2010 06:25 PM

Couple new pics, found this pretty sick spot, pictures aren't great cause it's my phone and it's cloudy out. I will go back out there with a camera on a sunny day.

olmytsi 02-27-2010 06:56 PM

Lol, yeah, it seems to rain almost everyday for like 20 minutes...It started pouring right after I took those pics, good thing it's only like 3 minutes from my house.

Ok so I'll chime in on my DSM. Purchased the car about 6 months ago, it is a red 1g GSX. Purchased the car from a guy up in northern PA with the motor and trans in. Threw in a PTE 60 trim, 4 bolt rear, transfer case, FMI, DSM link, 3" exhaust, 850cc injectors, and a 2G MAF. 2 Weeks later turbo blows. Throw in a SBR GT-14, and encountered some issues with compression testing...they were way to high. Pull off the head and it is decked past indicators with a composite headgasket thrown on. Sooo go with a new head ported shimmed, BC hardware and BC 280's. About a week later motor spins a bearing. At this point I am pissed, so I rip it out and throw in a built motor. Weisco 8.3:1 pistons, eagle rods, and bored .20 over because I was not going to trust anything on that motor after seeing the head that was previously installed. Well thought I was done but nope, blown motor blew the gt-14 turbo also. Ok turbo number 3, and HX-40 with BEP mitsu exhaust housing. Strong turbo and strong motor. The car ran good for about a month, got it tuned then let it sit for the winter. Today I started to rip out the turbo for my new project that has yet to be determined. It will be T3 with a tubular manifold. We will see what the summer brings, hopefully I'll get it all done before the shows.

outlawzxblizz99 03-07-2010 09:15 PM

well.....looks like everything worked out for ya. some time, money, and patience got you pretty far. i will also be running a hx40 with bep mitsu housing....along with other goodies.

wouldn't that defeat the purpose of the "no inspection and emmissions" that you were talking about before?

olmytsi 03-21-2010 07:08 PM

Ok, Ill rephrase it for you, I am going to keep them until they expire which is about 1 year for both cars.

GSXbabe8 03-24-2010 10:20 AM
