If you go kitted.... the first one is the best. Not too sure on the roof.... but the hood needs to go. The rest of the body looks damned amazing.

that 1st red kit is pretty nasty, i would get it and i hate kits

240_fun 11-26-2008 09:40 PM

OMG this thing is sexxxx
cept the hood
but ughh
It makes the miata look soooo bad asssss

motorvated 11-26-2008 09:43 PM

haha WOW im surprised so many people like it. Ide keep my stock hood, and probably stock hard top. My hardtop is in mint condition, and worth a good amount of $$. I dont wanna F with it.

My car is 19 years old now. No rust, and some small nickle size dings. I was going to sand the whole car down, and fix all the little dings. Fit the kit myself, and my buddy will paint the whole car. He runs a paint shop. Probably test fit the whole kit to make sure it fits PERFECTLY, then pull it off. Paint the whole car and the whole kit, and then reinstall the kit. These are just "plans" but im going to do my best to make it happen. Its all about the Benjamins

92sileighty 11-26-2008 09:45 PM

honestly i like the whole thing - the hood, i love how the back windows looks riveted on, that's pretty cool to me

Silverfc88 11-26-2008 09:48 PM

Maybe turn the top black. Get a two tone thing going?

IdriveBad 11-27-2008 01:33 PM

Wow! I actually really like that (less the hood like you were saying).

97TurboDSM 11-28-2008 01:57 AM

does that guy think flipping his plate around is going to keep people from figuring out what it says? that miata is decent

Cutlass372 11-28-2008 04:13 PM

I think that first kit looks the best out of any posted. Just ditch the hood and keep the stock hard top. The one they are using just doesn't seem to flow as well as the stock one. Idk why people knock on these cars as being "the gay mans car" or whatever.. They handle like crazy and not saying you have to like all cars, but atleast give credit where it's do.. stereotypes are lame.. If its what you like then rock whatever car you want.

No ****! It looks good IMO.

reminds me of the mooncraft s2k

I saw a badass miata earlier with 16x9.5 polished ccw's that was soooooooooooo frush. haha

motorvated 11-28-2008 10:55 PM

yea the fastback is similar to the S2K kit. Needless to say, I think I have my plans laid out. I'll keep posting progress..

frosti108 11-28-2008 11:20 PM

the kit looks very nice... im not sure on the top or not.... i would probly try to pull the kit off with a regular hardtop... but that one looks good too, just might be a lil overkill. looks like theyre trying to give it a 240sx type hatchback haha

looks sick though! i would rock it. your gonna need some wide ass wheels or just a major absence of offset

motorvated 11-28-2008 11:27 PM

The wheels you see there are 15X8 o offsets..i'll be running the same.

Im going to keep my OEM hardtop, along with OEM hood. Just using the bumper, fenders, sideskirts and rear flares. Respraying the whole car red, along with the kit. Wonder how this will hold up on a DD...hmm

frosti108 11-28-2008 11:37 PM

hmm. well i hope youll have something in the engine bay to back up all the crazy looks... remember the idea is to make power 1st. then to have bigger wheels to hold the power, THEN to get fender flares to fit the wheels. cause and effect... ;)

motorvated 11-29-2008 12:08 AM

Its all a work in progress :)

Holy blind spot batman!

edit: I talked to him last night and he says the kit is actually functional for downforce and such so I take back some of what I said...still think it looks gaudy but if it helps the car perform better on the track then it's not so bad.
