I think this makes us family . . . DGM 08/09 LGT, lol. I contemplated the same summer/winter wheel+tire combo a month ago until I realized I could get a set of coilovers for the same price as a set of good rims. Now the plan is coilovers and new rubber now and a set of rims later on. I don't necessarily dislike the stockers either.

Should of kept the S-10 :rotfl: jk

Still have it though its my dads. I'm driving to work in the S10 all week until I feel comfortable enough to drive the legacy.

I've been looking at springs lately for a drop to remove some of the ugly ass 4x4 status this car has stock, also to remove a lot of the roll and lean it has under accel and braking. Right now I'm thinking of going with the Bilstein struts off a Legacy Spec B and then with JDM pink springs. Though the pinks are the most expensive spring out there I believe they are also the stiffest and give it a nice drop. I'll have to look more at springs for sure.

Even though I have money in the bank for struts and springs I'm probably going to sell some unneeded RC/hobby stuff I haven't touched in years and see how much I have and then go from there. If I sell a couple things plus the money I have put aside for parts for the legacy I should have enough for the struts then find some springs.

Dont underestimate what a good short shifter and bushings will do for your driving experience. oh and they are cheap! :wink:

I actually know someone that recently did that exact bilstein/pinks setup on LGT.com, I'll ask them what they think. I think it was a couple weeks ago they were going on.

The shift throw doesn't seem that long to me. Expect for 5th which is the only one that seems to be a long throw.



Yea let me know how they worked out for the guy. I remember seeing photos of a LGT with bilsteins and pinks to see how the drop but I forget where I saw it. I want to see how low of a drop it does.

Actually my buddy with the bilsteins/pinks didn't get them on yet, they're going on when his summer tires go on in a couple weeks. I'll keep you posted once he gets them on.

Money well spent if you do it. Susie is running pinks on her stock struts and her car feels great, Im running the RCE Yellows on STi struts and its comparable. It will be a better driving experience that coilovers, just look into sway bars too.

Speaking of, Susie bought an Aspec strut tower brace for her car but turns out it doesnt fit, the strut tops are different her year. It will work on yours if you would like. $50 takes it and its BNIB.

The spec B bilsteins are nice from what I've heard but I think for the money there might be better choices? I think even used they go for a decent amount.

Pink's are a good spring, but I think the drop on them is, atleast going by the Wiki is not enough. Especially considering how high stock LGT's sit. I'd personally go for the Swift springs, everyone raves about them, and its a proper drop if you plan to do low offset wheels later.

Only thing is new Bilsteins are like what 600ish+, the pinks are around 350 if you are buying new. For me thats coilover money, I paid a little more for my Stance's and if you plan to join the proper fitment Rota crew, coils will most likely be needed to get everything looking and sitting perfect.

I think I saw you at Sonic on Thursday, I'll prolly be there this Thursday too, and would have no problem taking you for a ride in mine, that way you can have something to compare to.

Oh once you are good with the stick thing, gut the dp, your up is already catless and have Ray@Turbotek tune, I did did mine last week and I don't know why I waited so long to go Stage 2, talk about a totally different car.
