Why are they even hanging their home country flag when they left this (oh so wonderful) country for a better life in another country? Kinda contradicts.

How come when mexicans/blacks/latinos/whatever do **** like this its call <insert specific minority> pride....

But when whites do it its called racist.

****ing double standards....

Stillen GLE 04-16-2008 03:50 PM

i say we report it the the Federal Government and get the supreme court involved and what not!

NJGOAT 04-16-2008 03:54 PM

It's called civil disobedience and while I may not agree with what they did, I whole heartedly support their right to do it. If someone wants to unfurl the American flag in front of the Capital and take a dump on it to make their point, more power to them. None of the details surrounding why they did it were really discussed, the only thing presented was the picture and its shock value.

The freedoms that we enjoy and that many have paid a high price to defend cannot be taken away or asteriked when it comes to speech and symbols that people find offensive. What seperates America and makes us great (IMO) is our ability to openly protest, publish and say what we want about the government. In many countries you would be shot or imprisoned for doing what they did and I never want to see that here.

Look at it this way, the act of disrespecting the flag in itself is a beautiful testament to the freedoms that Americans enjoy and how great our country is. Whatever they were trying to protest, to me they only managed to show how great our country really is, because none of them were rounded up and executed for it.

Ive been wondering this for many years, like why do we have a Black History Month, but where is White History Month, where is Native American History month, arent these also important historic events? The minority always wants special treatment, and because the government and associations give it to them, the minority will soon be the majority, and still beg for everything to be handed to them on a gold platter. Un-****ing-real. This is where I would prefer a government leader who embraced old Soviet traditions...you get out of line, you go to jail or get hanged, no questions asked, world would be a better place I think.

becuase people feel like we owe them shyt.. but we don't. I'm all for equality and not the slightest bit racist. But when minorities play the race card or act like America owes them anything, it makes me want to strangle them. They should be greatful they were givenc hance here in the US at a better life. Not our fault if they don't take advantage of it. Hell I grew up in Juniata Park and Kensington... where Iwas the goddam minority, but ya didnt see me bithcing that I couldnt even go to a corner store and talk to the cashier in English...f'n bull****.

This flag thing is just a disgrace. They should be shot. If they don't like our country they can leave. ungrateful F*&ks

They all need to go live in poverty in Juarez for a few decades. Maybe then they will learn to respect what this country gave them.

Omar_MSP 04-16-2008 09:21 PM

i don't get it. why would someone abuse such a privilege to live in this country. since most of them are americans but hold a grudge they think they have the right to abuse the system, get away with it and think there going to change something by doing so. 1 state... cmon, i think there freedom of thought is very exposed but at the same time... lots of people don't care lol.

i have been bless by having two flags the united states of america and puerto rico. my family tree goes back to mexico, italy, ireland, africa and native caribean. but im aways proud to say im a AMERICAN. dont get me wrong my roots are strong in my hispanic heritage and my kids will learn there native tung.spanish in my part and italian on my fiance part.

i drive by a house every day in cheltenham that has flag pole. the owner of that house has a american flag on top and puerto rican flag on the bottom. one of my boys ask me if i thought that was wrong. and replied "the way i look at it the american flag been on top is like a father looking after one of its son's".
