Thanks! 500+ hp is well in reach with a couple more PSI and a bit of tuning. My AFR's were a good ways off and I can still play with timing so there is much more to come!

By the way, Did anyone else catch that motorcycle accident on broad street on the way back?

evomike 04-06-2008 03:03 AM

if a stock s2k is reading 220 that dyno must read high

Yea, forreal. Stock S2000's make like this:

2002 honda s2000 hp: 193.5@8300 tq: 130.2@6240 modifications: stock

blackvr4 04-06-2008 03:19 AM

598 @ 13psi on pump. Tommy just wanted to throw it on there. I know he's made 670 @ 18psi on race gas. He's going to be doing much more soon. That motor should be able to handle 20psi + easy.

I made 348/279 @ 14psi

The last time I was there I dynoed 325 @ at around 10-11psi with a best time of 12.1@114. So hopefully I can get out to the track soon and see if I can beat my own time.

Definitely wasn't reading high. There were a couple cars that read a couple HP less than they should have. He had a couple things done if I recall correctly.

I made 457whp on pump. AFRs were still rich as poo (10.5-11.0) and timing was very low...3-10 degrees. I need to get it tuned this week as well as finish up the intercooler I have for it. This was all done through a stock intercooler. :o Goal is 510-525 on pump after I do those 2 things.

JNZTuning 04-06-2008 08:07 AM

If anyone has some footage of my dyno runs please either post it up or send it to me at chris@jnztuning.com. Got some things to do with it. Thanks guys.

Great number Chris, is that thing gonna be a dyno queen or are you comin to the track!

I've noticed my car dyno's about 20-25hp higher on PDWs AWD dyno then RTs FWD dyno... So one of them is off.

Damn, my car read around 5 horsepower higher last year on R/T's dyno on my old turbo.

I think I'll hit up R/T to compare with my new dyno from PDW.

PaleDSM 04-06-2008 10:07 AM

I don't think the S2k was stock. I know I saw atleast an intake pipe from the pictures. I'm sure AMF can elaborate.

Thanks man! I'm definitely taking it to the track. No question there. The weather on Thursday look real good so far so maybe this week. You ready to go out?

no the s2k is not stock. i have the bruised hands to prove it

and the reason you saw a diff between pdw and r/t is r/t has a mustang

RT is a 2wd dynojet. I promise. :)

When I was maxing out my old setup on boost, I saw 400AWHP at PDW and 375FWHP at RT consistently.

eh my bad, who the heck had a mustang then? im confusored. anyway its still two different models of dyno and god knows what correction factor each is using

noclutch 04-06-2008 11:21 AM

Thats what I mean, its not like anyone is actually making less power. It just means that each dyno is setup differently, neither is better or worse. Trap speeds don't lie though.
