I"m going to have to take the Saturn to the track after I get the new clutch installed. I've never really run it because the stock clutch goes weeee after the first 30 feet, but i've got the 2.8" pulley, motor mounts, suspension, HP Tuners, and i'm about to do the Exedy clutch. Once I get that clutch tighted up I think the car will really fly.

I was on bald street tires, hence the 2.4 60'...that's why I was hoping with better tires, or just a better launch all together, I could run consistant 13.6s with the setup I have now...after the 2.8" pulley I'm just hoping to break the mid-13 line.

Stage 2 is supposed to give you right around 16psi, but I notice 17 right off the bat. Now I'm creeping to 18 or 19 at the top of 3rd gear, so I think my cat is clogged :(

Since the car was cut off with a 6450 RPM redline, the motor was still building a good amount of power right up until it hit fuel cut, so along with the Stage 2 kit comes an ECU reflash that actually bumps the redline up to an even 7000...

What gauge are you using? I have the 2.8" pulley and i'm only seeing about 17psi.

looks nice, the blackout reminds me of my car. pretty damn fast too lol

Yeah, I gotta admit - that's without doubt the best looking Saturn I've EVER seen. Love the smoked tails, and the bolt-pattern rims really work well. Normally I'd say you gotta tint the windows, but I think that ride pulls it out nicely anyway. Definite thumbs up!

I'm using a glowshift boost gauge now, but I've had it hooked up to an Autometer Pro-Comp and got the same readings. Stock I was running the normal 12.5ish, but after stage 2 and colder weather it's really going up...plus lately it sounds like there are marbles in my muffler, so I really think I blew my cat, and the boost is creeping too high.

It's a really common problem with these cars apparently, but I've been trying to go easy on it until I just get a new downpipe.

Thanks to everybody who welcomed/complimented me and my car though, I appreciate it.

Yeah, north Wilmington...I'm in one of the neighborhoods inside of the big triangle that all of those roads make.

whats up man, welcome to tst. nice to get some saturns on here. are you going to the sonic cruise?

tiny are you going? i saw you there last time, but didn't get a chance to say hi.

Klutz_33 02-24-2008 04:40 AM

Hey the RL looks really good. its always a welcome sight to see another saturn up on the boards

DBryden 02-24-2008 08:29 PM

Thanks guys. I just saw that thread about the Sonic meet, and I'd like to go. I was thinking of asking a few people around here if they wanted to ride up that way. I was there last year for a Cobalt/Ion meet last year and it was a lot of fun.

Until then, I'm hoping they start up these Best Buy meets on 202 again, because I live about a mile from that store lol.
