Well my car only has about twelve hundred miles, so theres not too much to know about where its been driven. I know the car was broken in in Japan by Subaru before it was shipped here. Its registered in the US as a test* (not the right word, cant think of the proper one) car and its exempt from a whole bunch of DOT requirements. From there the commercial was filmed and it was in a bunch of demos and product releases. Then it was purchesed by my friend at SOA. He has owned it ever since. It just so happens that this friend of mine has been working for Subar for 20+ years and he played a very big role in the WRX coming to the US. He has been with the car since the day it landed in California. So when I purchased it, he told me absolutly everything I wanted to know.

My Dad has always been an advocate of AWD, however he is mildly obsessed with German cars, particularly Porsche/Audi/VW. He had a 60's Beetle as his first car, and now hes on is 3rd and 4th Porches, 2nd Audi, and hes had countless VW's. He wanted me to buy at GTi, lol. Anyway, he never liked Japenese cars, in fact he more or less hated them. When he found out I wanted one, lets just say it didnt put a smile on his face. But, my father is a great guy, truely one of the best I know, and as I shared my knowledge of Subarus, he grew to respect them. (even more so after he found out my buddies STi would kill his 911, lol) To make a long story short, he is now as excited about this car as I am! He loves it, he even asked to take it to work to show off to a couple of his buddies. Naturally, I said fine, but Im taking the 911 for the day!

Also, does anybody know a good automotive photographer in the Moorestown (Cherry Hill) area of South Jersey? Im not terrible, but I know I cant do this car justice. If anyone knows a fellow enthusiast that wouldnt mind taking a couple quality pics, could you let me know how to get in touch with him? Thanks alot.

There is a guy on here named mumby with a very early model 04 STi and on the sun visor it says something about being a training vehicle. Is that something like that also?

Is this something like that? No, not that Im aware of. It was never used for any kind of "training," but then again Im not to sure as to what that means.

With a topic like that i thought he was gonna say something about it having "kung fu grip" and "exploding gearbox action"

Before you ask, the 911 C4 is my Fathers, and the Cayenne is my Mothers. Fathers daily is an Audi A6. Were just an AWD family :).

Thanks a lot guys. But yeah I believe knowing the history of your car is very valueable. Especially with WRX's. You just never know where theyve been, whats been done to them, etc. Is "troll" his name on this forum? If so Ill def send him a PM.
Ill take some point-and-shoot pics after work tomorrow. Should be up around dinnertime.
