thats exactly the issue we were having we were looking at a base lancer and loved the es with the spoiler and wheels. same with the 3 falling for the s and with the civic looking at the si. these base cars are like mouse traps they get you in then you fall for the nicer one. im having such a hard time.

ray lets start our own support group! men who just cant do base models

RayArroyo 07-02-2007 03:21 PM

guys at this point a 5k dollar car is useless, i still owe a little more on the evo than what is worth and i need to add it to the new car loan.

RayArroyo 07-02-2007 03:22 PM

the sti on the other hand is a different story, i owe alot less than what it is worth

We will take the Evo and you can have the Legacy. Who doesnt was velor seats?! But seriously. I really wanna take over payments on it.....just refinance later on. (cause I cant handle 17%!)

I still say that out of everything, the Honda is your best choice. You are talking about saving up for a house and getting something better down the road.

Lancer- Great car with great features but Mitsubishi notoriously has poor resale value due to the discounts on interest and rebates they give new car buyers. Used car sellers have to dramatically reduce the cost of the car to compete.

VW- I love the looks of the car and heard some great reviews but I am still hesitant about the problems that their car have had with recalls on electronics and such.

Civic- The new body style is so much nicer than the last generation and you get Honda reliability and resale value. This would be the car I would choose for a daily driver and economy car.

Again, if this choice is for money reasons then get a year or two older version. If you go through a Honda dealer you get the remaining warranty on the car and their multi-point inspection. You are always better off getting a year old used car over a new one as the car dramatically depreciates as soon as you drive it off the lot due to the difference between new and used car financing and the difference between buying new and used.

id go with the civic as well actually (payment wise)

where did you buy the evo from? id go to them and trade it in and see what kind of deal you can get. now what cars they have i dont know but youll probably get the best deal from them. or you can call around to dealers and see what there offering on evos. cars like evos, sti's, r32s(vw) usually have a great buy back from the original dealer. gl with whatever you choose.
