Also, make sure the rubber stopper that pushes in the brake switch is good before you install the pedal assembly. It is a MAJOR pain in the ass to do afterwards, and they have a tendency to break after a while. Spend the $1.12 and get a new one while it's not in the car yet. You shouldn't need one for the clutch pedal switch, after the swap it will start in gear. :devil:

Pick up a cheap hole saw set to make mounting the clutch master cylinder easier. You can drill from the outside after making a pilot hole from the inside(there's a dimple in the firewall).

I would also recomend a new slave cylinder and clutch master cylinder. I went used and have since replaced both. I believe there is a write up on NICO on how to delete the clutch damper too. You just need a line that runs right to the slave cylinder, bypassing the damper on the frame rail.

Thanks for the advice. I'll pick up that stopper tomorrow while I'm getting a hole saw lol. My biggest problem so far is getting the clutch lines. I have the short one that goes to the slave but everytime I order the long clutch line I get another short one (I now have 3). I'll have to find how to bypass the damper and where to get the right clutch line.

edit: I already bought a new slave and master

Talk to auk113. He had a clutch line made up for a car I traded with him. I think a place over by him made it, so I know they can be made. It was a nice braided line. Worst case scenario you get a straight length and the correct fittings and bend yourself up one and flare the ends. There has got to be a place to buy stuff like that.

those subframe collars are a nice mod - i remember when i installed em the car stopped wheel hoppin... i remember when i had lots of little stuff i could buy. Now its all pricey **** (this weeks purchase was a nardi classic and a QR).

btw enjuku has a line to go from master to slave in one braided line... its not too pricey i dont think.

I'm starting to feel like the swap will take a few years. I keep getting delayed by getting the wrong parts, waiting for parts to arrive, and conflicting schedules while trying to pick up the flywheel and driveshaft which are the last two parts I need to buy(to the best of my knowledge.
