your car is clean! how much did the jdm bumper + greddy lip cost ya?

i need to relocate my harness soon too haha.

I got the lip on sale from a Zilvia vender...he only had 3 left in stock and was closing his doors, so I remember getting it for dirt cheap. The bumper came from a fellow se-r owner that knew a kid locally that had one for sale...It was still new...I think I endedup paying a few bucks less than what Superior/Courtesy/ were selling it for...

I was at a 240 meet in October??? Not to sound rude, but totally don't remember.....?

And thanks for the compliments...again, I'm trying my best to spread the idea of the 'total car concept' around...I get so tired of hearing 300 whp, turbo...stock brakes and suspension...to me that just seems scarey!

if only these ideas could be beat into the heads of so many ppl slowly ricing and wrecking perfect s chassises.... oh well, your car looks nice as hell man, and i may have a driver floormat for ya, if your interested that is

Go Ace, go!

Certainly one of the nicest ones out there. In terms of looks it’s not over the top (which I like) and the power is definitely there. I like the fact that you concentrated on performance and kept everything else clean and straight forward. I think all you need is an Aero piece for the rear – other than that it’s perfect.

s14drftstn 02-09-2007 09:33 PM

Very nice!

I've been mulling over some OEM Japanese Market Rear bumpers....but to me it makes the car look like it has a 'skirt' on...which I hate....

I actually have Zenki rear 'spats' sort to speak that I'm gonna try out this spring....maybe get the total concept

(((Here is an example of the little rear spat pieces:

So far my future plans are deciding how to retrofit zenki HID yellow fogs into the stock Kouki housings....a harness and seats...and maybe a 4 pt cage.....

cburwell 02-09-2007 11:11 PM

Those "spats" look good, they're very subtle.

Hey now, my car will have a bit more than 300whp, stock brakes in the front, and stock suspension.

which is exactly wat he is against, spend some money in suspension and brakes, it makes for just as much fun in the car as power, especially if you're already at about 300hp

You ever think that maybe, just maybe, I'm building my car for a different purpose than you?

whitezenki 02-19-2007 01:06 AM

no but i do think that no matter what purpose you are building your car, unless its "i got a nice motor and nothing else" then brakes and especially suspension are gonna be both beneficial and more fun

but lets not jack ace's thread anymore, feel free to PM me about it if you would like to continue this discussion, i wouldnt be surprised if the mods deleted our useless posts by the end of the night anyway

Looks good, still haven't seen it around the burg though. You have to make it out to a Tuesday meet in Allentown one night.

PaleDSM 02-19-2007 01:22 PM

I kinda got jaded by the band wagoning of the 240 in recent years and lost all interest in them. Yours is very clean and purposeful though. I dig it.
I'll have to keep my eye open at Pocono PDAs this year for ya.

TTsupra911 02-19-2007 01:32 PM

very nice 240. clean and simple the way I like it

I would only do that for a drag only car, and eventhen I would at least look into getting some sort of upgraded pad for the fronts (Carbotech Bobcats would work fine for a Drag only car)

I had good brakes, and mostof my suspension on the 240 before I even did the swap (when I was putting the SR all back together)...glad I did it that way...To me a fun suspension can even make the most anemic cars awesome...

I took the car down over christmas to put more suspension parts on it, new bushings, and to clean up some wire stuff that was driving me nuts....and I took my time doing that, mianly because it was cold, and I expected snow...

So in the meantime I picked up a 96 Maxima SE for dirt (1000 bucks) cheap...and well once you have heated leather seats, you don't want to swap back to cloth ones to fast...

I drove the car for another 2 weekshere before it snowed out, and it's been sitting now again for a week...I don't want to litter the underside with brine/salt solution if I can help it :D

Tuesday nights are wing nights in town here (at the 'Dive' known as floods hehe)...10 honey mustard, 10 medium, and I'm set :D

You're not the only one. I've wanted one now since I was in highschool, and never had the cash to build one (back when I had my turbo Altima)...and then onceI had the cash, the whole drift craze was in...so my goal was to be the anti-drift kid...and so far it's worked...
