:rotfl:

What kind of job are you looking for at $8/hour? Seriously...sales at one of the department/electronic stores? Now I'm curious. Skills? Are you currently in college? It's a tough world out there these days, and it's not so easy to find that nice white-collar job without college. Being that you are 18, I can only assume that you are going to attend college to get that "white-collar" job. What are you majoring in? See if you can get a paid intern through your school.

If you aren't going to college, well, you can figure it out.

lol pesky mexican unions.

On a serious note, take a walk through the mall. There are hiring signs everywhere. I seen on at american eagle, and they had them at best buy/circuit city. Its not hard to find a job if you leave your computer. My plumbing job right now, I got the job from the guys doing work at my house and asked if I wanted a job.

So what are you majoring in? Logic says, find a job in that area.

IMO, shooting for $8 an hour is insane though. LMAO, in high school (11th grade), I was a cashier at Genuardis and I made $12.50/hour.

maybe a shop could use someone for some computer stuff like organizing orders and calling customers with progress and expected finishing dates, updated rates, dealing with wholesalers, etc. I can sound very professional..dont use terms like "yea" and "huh"

With that description, it sounds as though you are grooming yourself for either:
A) A Secretary
or
B) A Telemarketer

Like I said, wait a couple weeks when college is back in session. Hit up the office, or talk to one of your professors, and see what they have to say.

$12.50 an hour at a groccery store? That's wild. When I was in 11th grade working at Shoprite I made only $8.50 per hour.

CobaltGrl 12-31-2006 02:02 PM

If you are friendly and willing to put up with all sorts of bull**** you can apply at Commerce, they are always hiring and I think they start tellers at like 10 bucks an hour....

I started there in 9th grade and was making 9.xx/hour...plus they would pay x and a half on sundays

At any rate, the job blew major donkey balls. The new managers came in and started firing people for taking all of food and especially the candy from the bins (I guess they were in the right). Assholes.

Back on topic though, again with your description; it's a shame you aren't a hot girl, because I always see ads. in the paper for clerical duties and lawyers offices.

you should learn something like roofing. My dads supervising roofing guy makes like 50k a year after taxes.

Circuit City near me hires and starts you at 9 an hour, I think they have a pretty high turn over rate also. Security also pays a little bit higher like 10 or 11 dollars an hour.

TSA pays I believe 13.50 an hour.

CleanNeon98 01-01-2007 05:35 AM
