Seems like no one evr said MR SE..You can get the SE package in MR trim as well, and black would be the color to get..

I think its just the best of both worlds. Its an MR with ther extra SE goodies. Probably expensive though.

I've never heard that before - I've got a sunroof and the car is fine. The type of tire that's on the car is the biggest change in sound.

Anyone care to share some insight?!?

Comes down to personal preference. It's been stated before, but your friend should drive each model and make a decision. There's no "wrong" choice. It's about which model fits his needs the best. The MR dose have a smoother ride so if he plans on leaving the car stock that would be a good choice. A friend of mine has the MR and it's great - no need to change anything. When I got my car, the MR hadn't come out yet, but if I had to do it again I probably would've stuck with my GSR (I knew I was gonna mod.)

why shouldn't you mod a MR?

redline 11-16-2006 09:28 PM

True, but for the money for the 6spd and bilstien's? Most people believe it is not worth it if you are going to mod anyway. And the 5sp is more durable and faster in the 1/4 mile. Also the MR badge has been ruined with the IX because of mass production numbers, not to offend anyone but it isn't the same as owning a 8 MR.

I would say it is worth 5K extra.

Posts like that are pointless. I bought the MR and I wouldn't have it any other way. Also, I am modding mine......More than most people with the lower models in this area as well.

Screw the se, screw the mr, screw the gsr, an evo is a drivers car and the rs is the only way to go
