It drives me absolutely nuts. But at the same time it makes me laugh my ass off.

I have had idiots who drive cambered out Civic hatches (rolling on some baller ass XXRs) actually come up to my car at a meet and say I was stupid for modding my Juke. I laughed and told them thanks, and that I love how my wheels cost more than their entire car, which I followed up by saying I thought it was stupid how only 1/8th of their tires make contact with the ground. These are same idiots I get stuck behind on the highway because they can't get their cars up to highway speeds or they have to go slow because they have to be vigilant about avoiding potholes.

At the end of the day, I do enjoy going to meets because my Juke gets a ton of attention. It gets attention no matter where I go which is kind of why I put so much work into it. People mod their cars to get attention or to go fast. Personally, I feel the tuner community in general deserves something different and unique.

Going to a meet and walking down a row of cars where it is all Civics that look exactly the same has run its course. If I go to a meet and half the cars are either S13s that look like they belong in a junkyard or 50% of the cars are cambered, I usually get in my car and leave.

You shouldnt build your car to get attention from other dudes, thats sad.

I build my car because I want to build it. The attention is nice because most people are confused to all hell which is what I am going for. Anyone can go out and get a junky S13 and slap a SR20 in it.

A meet sounds good. Although now I drive a stock civic with an exhaust leak... wouldn't mind a good meet with anything besides the junk that's already been mentioned.

Now the big question;

Where?

Sincere 07-14-2015 09:03 PM

Did anyone ever meet?

JCevoX 07-15-2015 10:56 AM

nope. no one got back to me. only had one other person. still open to it!

Roto 12-14-2015 08:51 PM

Looks like I've been gone for three years and have no meets to come back to. Not that anyone here actually missed me or my smoke spewing Saab.

HickRocket1258 02-09-2016 02:58 PM

Nothing has really come back in this site. Was nice back in the day, but like folks said, Facebook killed this along with the new crowd of cars I'm sure. The camber.

No. Fadebook pages suck. They're unorganized as hell compared to a forum.

Agree with this, except Lehigh Valley car and coffee is alright.

I miss meets as well as have made some good friends but its tough for a few reasons:

1. To many douches think its their time to burnout/rev engine/whatever else is gonna draw po po attention and deter business owners. Saw many meets ruined by a few idiots.
2. Stance sucks, to me these people ruin cars. How long can you talk about wheel offset anyway and stretching a 195 tire on a 10" wheel.

We used to have a meet where we would actually go into a business, bar or restaurant, and talk cars. Believe it or not, businesses like when you spend money. Maybe spend a little bit of time in the lot looking/talking cars. I love to BS about cars and would love to see this again.

Here is an idea. Someone quietly put the meet together (JCevoX) then post it on here (just date and time, no location). Once people start showing interest, you make note of the interested parties. Then about a week, maybe less, before the meeting date you message a select number of members with the location (Include rules). Change the location every meet so the riff raft don't catch on.
