What are you launching that thing at???? It takes off like a rocket. You should definatly hit 11's if you hit a 12.3 before.

Weird...I've never heard of a pretty much stock evo running so fast. Can your drivetrain handle that???? Guess we'll find out.

D Money 03-17-2006 06:23 PM

I think Petey will hit a 11, no problem. I am confused on what you have done to the car, but it looks like a tune and turboback which is awesome for those times. Keep it up bro, it looks like you have a combination of a nasty driver and a factory freak. I get the same thing from people bro, when I was stock turbo I used to smoke alot of cars and people always thought I was lying about what I had done. More power to you bro, I cannot wait to see the car in person.

peteyturbo 03-17-2006 06:30 PM

Ok I'll make it official, 3 inch turbo back and tune took me to 12.2. The rev limiter is going to be raised so it will not be an issue up to 116mph which is more then what I need. I'm SURE, if I can get 112 out of her I can do the rest:)
As far as the stock clutch, it is holding up very well so far, I think I did the most damage to it trying to launch it when it was stock or near stock, or when I wasn't making enough power that I would have to slip it more. The way the car is now I could probably get plenty of life launching the way I am because I really don't heat it much at all, so if it goes I may even replace it with another stock clutch.
Thanks for the comments guys.

Very few will give you credit and props when needed, seems they are jealous your going so fast w/ a NEAR stock evo. lol....screw um, you dont have to prove to these noodles your times, they still wont believe you.....

You know what would be cool bro, if you wouldn't make assumptions like this one. I happen to be silver05bullets friend, yet I am knowledgeable enough to not come on here and just attack petey. So where you gettin this bull**** saying his friends would back him up and belong in kintergarten?

You might be dissapointed because it looks like any other MR save for the exhaust. Thanks for the kind words.

the conditions were far from perfect too, a side wind that was slightly a head wind on a couple of the runs (you could actually feel the 50mph winds blowing the car around), and cold as hell.

petey, as long as that poor stock clutch holds i think it won't be a problem. people are just jealous because with race cams, tons of bs done to their evo's- they are LUCKY to hit a 12.2. (this is not intended for any one person, just in general- i know of MORE than one).

Thanks for the compliment.

I have never seen another post by this person before and he had nothing posted other than one run in his profile. You tell me the average Evo owner (or any AWD car owner for that matter) can run 12.2 at only 109 MPH? Yes the 60' is good but its not spectacular which was another reason for my concern. I asked for backup and I got it. I even said if the run is legit, you should be able to go 11's, so there you have it.

If you think I'm another complete idiot kid, thats fine by me. I can almost promise I was at Atco before 3/4 of this board was born. I was racing before a lot of members were walking and I've been quicker and faster than every member here (based on the timeslip page). I've also got over 200 passes on AWD Mitsu's and just recently went 127 mph in my own.

USARARE1 03-17-2006 06:43 PM

Petey... Will you be seeing AL in CT.?

With the raise of the rev limiter while in 4th and RACE GAS. 11'S will be seen!

:supz: My 2cents!

Holy **** thats quick. I am really getting jealous of how fast these AWD monsters are with such little mods.

9 Ball 03-18-2006 08:31 AM

MRs are pretty quick in stock form. There was an MR with just a drop-in filter right on my azz at Atco back in the fall. He's on this site too.

12.2 is very good. You also had good conditions. If you can keep those 60-ft times low it may be possible if you're running race gas. But it may be difficult to duplicate those times and go faster.

However, if your trap speed jumps over 112 (I don't think you can get 113-114 without cams) then your car has the potential to hit that mark.

Good luck.

evo8power 03-18-2006 08:53 AM

my last 12.2 run i trapped 122mph :-)
