Just now found your member journal. Looks good, man.

I have the Energy Suspension master bushing kit waiting to go on. Did your car squeak more after the install? I've heard the red bushings are a b**ch so I went with the black ones.

If I had to vote, I think you'd be most satisfied with the Red, if you choose to go stock frame.

well my car isnt the quitest thing in the world but I have noticed no sqeaking or any noise for that matter. I always make sure I lube the crap outta them when I install. If I would have done some research I prolly would have got the black ones cause there supposed to be self lubricating.

Yeah the whole bolt on turbo thing is prolly further down the road. Given the milage on my car I will probably build an engine before I get a turbo, unless i find a good deal.

On a side note, 60k service is getting done tomorrow. I also have a few other goodies Ive been holding out on.

Nice man. I hear you there. I have my built 2.0L with 5K miles on it up for sale. I could probably let it go for cheap if you were looking to do a built shortblock any time soon. Bearings all perfectly within spec, cylinder walls still have cross hatching, and it never burned a bit of oil.

Have fun with the timing belt, haha. Such a pain to do it in the car.

Take it easy!

Revival

How about a 4+ year bump :bigeek:...

Its amazing where a car takes you.The Evo is now almost exclusively an AutoX car. I have slowly been turning it into a moderately competitive SM car.

Some stats:

MAP stage 1 2.3l stroker
Speed density tuned
275/40-17 slicks
17x10.5 mustang rep wheels
whiteline front swaybar
Homemade splitter
Theres more...

Upcoming-
Hopefully a homemade rear wing (in process)
built/ported head with big cams
ported intake manifold
1000cc injectors

Wishful thinking
305+ wide tires
HTA 71 turbo
built trans transfercase

For now I'm trying to focus on getting the car to a competitive state and there is a considerable amount of driver improvement to be had.

I need to fine tune the suspension. I either need more rear bar or more rear spring I think.

Still need alignment, exhaust, inspection, and a retune.

At this rate I'll be lucky if I make fall pocono.

Tempting as this is I don't think its in the budget right now. Unless your selling them super cheap.
