my snowblower ate a little kid.

I don't know what all of you are complaining about...if you've ever seen my driveway...you'd think twice about complaining. It fits roughly 11 cars...and by cars i'm talking about the Yukon XL and Avalanche that are parked there with my truck and Corrado. I think it's time to invest in a driveway heater. Snowblower or not, it's still a bitch. 4 hours and a gallon of gas later...VOILA! clear driveway.

I feel your pain Chris. I have a corner property. I had a shovelling partner though.

Man shovelin is whack, I busted out the snowblower and all the neighbors cheered lol, cleaned house in less than 1 hr and made some sick money...

TehWagon 02-13-2006 11:26 PM

pete that is messed up... good going getting them back though- serves them right!

you know who i hate? the stupid idiots who are too lazy to clean the TOP of their car off , and then it flies off in sheets on the highway... very very dangerous. :furious:

You really should at least shovel your driveway. My Mom slipped and fell on someones like 4 days after it snowed. Needless to say they regret it because by law you have to have it shoveled by 24 hours after the snow stops falling.

My main snowblower decided to chew up a belt after I cleared off most of the snow on the property. My backup snowblower is a wimp but still worked ok. Luckily Pepboys was open long enough that I was able to replace the belt on the main one btw some down time.

50% of the homes on my side of the street have snowblowers. 25% of the people across the street have them too. Everyone pretty much got out there Sunday and cleaned up the whole neighborhood. I guess I'm lucky that we are all friendly with each other and help each other out here. I cleared out an extra spot in front of the house for whoever wants to park there.

Although parking can be tight at times our road is wide enough that people can park diagonally when there are snow mounds all over the place which leaves more spots available than before it snowed. We put two cars in the driveway and one on the street in a spot that our neighbors pretty much leave open for us.

After the neighborhood calmed down and was done I took a ride to parent's house in DE. I dug out the cars and cleaned off their property too.

Sunday was a long day. Fortunately I was able to take a nap today to make up for it.

Are you talking about the folks that go with the four wheel igloo look? you know, the moving snow mounds with the little peep hole cleaned off of the windshield, the dim glow of the headlights from behind the snow

TehWagon 02-14-2006 10:01 AM

ha! precisely

MuddyREX 02-14-2006 10:15 AM

Yep. My car was clobbered yesterday by a huge lump of snow that was ejected at speed from a Chevy Lumina.

The guy looked so puzzled when I pulled up next to him and flipped him off.

I also was witness to countless 18 wheelers with a "snow screen" hundreds of yard behind them from the snow being blown from the top of their trailers.

OMG totally! i didn't even bring that up - i was behind one and it was like whiteout conditions with the snow flying off the top! everyone backed WAYYYY off, and still, once all teh snow was gone, i drove past him and scowled and he looked like "what'd i do "
idiots!

sisforsurfing 02-14-2006 10:48 AM

I hated shoveling. We have a beast snow blower at home when it runs well.
But parking garages are where it's at. I just pull right out.

DropTopChevy 02-14-2006 02:01 PM

< Ex paperboy, I hate people that don't shovel their driveways and sidewalks. Sorta the reason us paperboys put the newspaper smach dab in the middle of the sidewalk for the snowblower. LOL :rotfl:

Not too long ago there was a woman killed by a chunk of snow and ice that had blown off the top of a tractor trailer. It busted right thru the windshield. Something should be done about it.

TehWagon 02-14-2006 02:39 PM

I wholeheartedly agree. I mean, we joke about it, but it really is a seriously dangerous thing, especially as snow melts/refreezes... I wonder if there's a law... we should post it in the ask-the-law forum...

R33P3R007 02-14-2006 03:00 PM

I hate him too.

I also hate the guy that took my spot after I spent hours cleaning it out perfectly.

Nevermind. I guess he hates me for calling my buddy and having him plow the car in on all sides. Oops. guess he will have to shovel his own car out now.
