I've been havin movie night with a buddy of mine and his girlfriend for a couple weeks and we watched all 4 movies. Cant wait for the 5th. They are entertaining movies, and I think they're good. That being said, they did make A LOT of mistakes, and I think that is half the fun. Watching the movies and being like... wait? What? No thats wrong. haha. Hella entertaining.

I wouldn't say that they're good. There is such a thing as universally good, which takes precedence over any personal tastes. Whether or not people like it, they can admit to it being very good, like Mozart or Bach.

With that said, the movies are entertaining, and the really bad writing is what makes them even more enjoyable and "legendary". We've had threads on here that basically go through every line of the movies. It's so bad it's good.

And sucks for you being the third wheel.

Your friend is getting a free BJ every monday night. I say that's win.

Well, it's not so free when you think about relationships... (notice use of ellipse for dramatic pause)

I was 11 when the 1st one came out. I thought the cars were dope. Now I think otherwise lol. I'm so happy none of my cars I'v owned were riced out...even at 17. If you are a car guy you most likely will find the movie entertaining for whatever reason.

Anybody notice when the jetta races the s2k...the jetta has no brake caliper? And when they show the interior of the s2k...it has a back window. LOL fail.

Ever notice in number two, they race for 35 large (3500) and there are 4 racers (4x3500=14000) but when Brian wins Ludacris only gives him 10 stacks... and then Brian gives Ludacris some as respect... after he already ripped him off!

i get what you are saying, its like any other movie, you live a boring life like everyone else, you go to work, come home, eat, sleep repeat and maybe something exciting comes up.

movies are so unrealistic but they pull you in because you want to live that life.

take for example die hard, yeah how sweet would it be to take down a whole team of terrorist, barefoot, on christmas. awesome huh, but no you just live a lousy life.

same thing with fast and furious, how bad ass would it be to have a group of friends who owned completely worked rx7, supra, chargers, skylines, gsx, etc and not have a real job and party every night. the reality is that you have to work a ****ty job that you hate to be able to afford half the car that ud see in a movie, chances are you have other financial responsiblities and you cant afford a weekend car like that.

the end.

People that are like your family where you have home cooked dinner with, go out and about with, and love each other like brothers and sisters and know they will do anything for you... I think that is a big part of the movie that got missed with all the hype. I'm sure some groups of tuners are close like this already.....

...i think it was showing how people will do whatever they can for someone when they care and respect then and are part of a family type group. That people enjoy being part of something and being around others that have the same passions and respect which was throw out many times in the movie from different characters in different ways...

What do you guys think about this...

Even though the movie was never realistic, it was entertaining. What made it special for me, is I watched it on opening night with a large group of friends at a national car club meet. We all had similar interests and the entire weekend we spent together was all about our cars and having fun as a group. Watching the movie with them was the start of a great weekend that I'll always remember.
