follow my easy 5 steps:

1. Lower it
2. Stand back and look at it
3. If it looks way too low
4. Lower it more
5. repeat until it's slammed.
6. High five yourself

I like how you think. :)

I think I'm going to cry

Oakes 07-12-2009 08:17 AM

I dunno why I even went to sleep for all of...an hour lol and then drove home.

DPancoast 07-12-2009 09:04 AM

Way to go stinky.

In. At work. Not happy lol. It's so damn nice out.

phate1229 07-12-2009 09:25 AM

ok I admit it, I have no CLUE what I'm doing when it comes to alignments and suspension.

DPancoast 07-12-2009 09:33 AM

For alignment (home made until you get to a shop) take a tape measure, put it in the outside most tread high up on the wheel and measure across to the other side. Do the same on the bottom. Make the tires look as straight up and down as possible and make sure the numbers are the same top and bottom.

Ride height, find a very flat surface and use your fender wells.

Then. Drive to your nearest trust worthy alignment shop and get one lol. It'd even be worth the drive to come out to R/T. Pat would hook you up with a super sick alignment that would prob make you poop your pants

phate1229 07-12-2009 09:38 AM

I'm planning on going to RT eventually, but my strut rods that were supposed to come in friday are apparently out of stock and I need to wait 4-6 weeks before those come

DPancoast 07-12-2009 09:47 AM

Damn :(.

Also, for ride height, you can also count threads on the coilovers if it's a ksport type shock that screws up and down to adjust height. It's a little more accurate that way.

russiankid 07-12-2009 11:38 AM

His toe in is set pretty close to perfect. The steering wheel is straight and the car tracks straight.

DPancoast 07-12-2009 11:53 AM

Well in that case, you just have to get the ride height as close as you can and you're good for a little while. Don't forget to tighten everything... Oh the stories I have heard lol.

Oakes 07-12-2009 01:58 PM

So, for anyone that drove in that hurricane style storm last night, I hope you made it out ok. I ended up sliding out the Fusion avoiding someone who was hydro planing, car became RWD for a moment. I'm guessing what happened is when I tried to not abruptly swerve out of the way, the front tires gripped oddly and the rears just started to ride on water. Did a full 360, hit a puddle sideways, water EVERYWHERE horrible sound thought I was headed off the road. Miraculously though, I regained control and got her straight while still rolling. My steering feels like ass now and there's a slight vibration in the ride at speed and when I turn, I just want to get rid of this car! Some others were not as fortunate as I saw on my drive. :(

ASIAN JUL 07-12-2009 02:01 PM

The rain was sooo loud last night. Scary.

DPancoast 07-12-2009 02:17 PM

Geeze Nick, glad you're ok man. I hope your car isn't too bad and you can fix it all quick like. I bunkered down at Michelles until it stopped raining. Power went out too for about 30 seconds which according to her never happens since her power is underground. Other than that, made out ok.
