Either an AIM sports or NCStar 2-7x pistol scope

Nice sub $50 combo. I couldn't get my NCStar scope sighted right so I exchanged it for an AIM Sports and it's been holding up to the recoil nicely.

in other news i just picked up a mosin nagant 1891/30. i wont be home for a couple weeks to pick it up but looking forward to having a fun bolt action to shoot that has super cheap ammo. still trying to find what kind of scout scope mount and scope combo i wanna roll with. anyone have any experience with them??

Where did you guys get the nagants? All of the ones I've found are beat to hell and are $200+

CleanNeon98 03-05-2014 01:37 AM

Surplus city on bustleton ave has round receivers for 150? And hex for 190? Last I checked. I just got a hex 1932 from them a few months back for 190. I believe at the time rounders were 150 or 170

They have at least 5 on the rack any given time to pick from.

Ordered this smith a little over a month ago. I picked it up two weeks ago I figured I'd share.

So 3 years after I sold my old A2 to get a flattop I've finally gotten around to getting another one. Picked this up from a co-worker of mine.

Smith and Wesson flattop AR15 came with a bunch of extras and I ended up paying $600 which I was comfortable with.
Came with;
-4 extra mags
-140 rounds of 5.56
-pistol grip
-adjustable stock
-flash suppressor
-flip up iron sights
-fore grip

Pardon my ignorance with anything, but I'm happy to own a firearm again.

Hey guys,

I had to delete and edit a few posts lately. I don't mind that you guys talk about guns and everything that goes with them, but TST is not the place to OPENLY post your items for sale.

(dont post prices and ****. keep it to PM's)

Thanks,
Jim

That makes sense. Does that mean just firearms though or accessories as well? Just want to make sure for future reference. Thanks.

That is nice. Which model is it? The m&p15 OR? I just picked up an M&P15 as well

300zx_tt 03-25-2014 06:39 PM

Anybody want a 333 box of Winchester super x .22lr? My sig has never jammed more than once while at the range and I had jams every 2-3 shots with this stuff. My old rem sport master doesn't like it either so I have no use for it. Probably around 290rnds left

CleanNeon98 03-25-2014 06:53 PM

its probably wax coated ammo

Ill take it, my walther p22 would fire rabbit turds I bet. Itll shoot anything.

How do we go about doing this?

I saw some chatter on mosins, I actually shop for them at Cabelas in Hamburg PA, but I have them price match eagle arms in Brienengsville PA.

Cabelas wants $170 but has about 100 mosins to pick through. Eagle arms wants $140. The last two mosins I bought were numbers matching hex receivers, #'s matching, a 32 and 33, one tula, and one izzy.

Cant beat that.

i got a question for anyone that has done multiple transfers at one time. I ordered three stripped lowers to build my own ARs. the place i had them transferred to charged me a $30 transfer fee for each one. is this normal? i've bought several guns at one and never had multiple transfer fees assessed. any recommendations for places around reading i can use to do transfers at next time.

Thats crazy, I don't know of a shop local to you but mine does not do that.

Your basically being charged for using their FFL license to receive. Not for the transfer. The state charges $2 for gun tax and $3 for the PICS. It costs the shop $5. The rest is a set fee they are raping you for using their address/ lic. I'd call around or try to negotiate that fee. All of the recievers could have been done on one form, its not like they were filling out the papers 3 times.

hammtheman 03-28-2014 01:54 PM

yeah exactly what driftpretty said. when i bought my mosins they only charged me for one transfer for two guns. sounds like you got raked over the coals

99corvette 03-29-2014 03:20 PM

Yea that dealer made a killing off of you. I have never been charged for more then one transfer when transfering a few firearms. The phone call only cost the dealer like $2.50, which they only call once when transfering a few weapons. The rest is profit.

akley88 03-30-2014 09:25 PM

Yeah I figured that was the case. They also had a used wasr10 that they wanted 800 for. Time to find a new place to do my transfers.

I've never been a huge Glock fan, but I'm thinking about buying one just for fun. Looking at a gen 4 19

ambitiousCK 04-04-2014 12:19 PM

So on Thursday i finally got around to getting my LTC and i bought my first handgun, Springfield Armory XD-M in 9mm, 4.5' barrel. Kit came with a hard case, holster, speed loader, gun lock, cleaner, two magazines, and a mag pouch. I wasn't a huge fan of the OWB holster that came with the gun so i picked up a IWB holster, i'll have to get used to it but it does conceal the gun 50 times better.

http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h6...AKARXDM001.jpg

http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h6...AKARXDM002.jpg

I also picked up a AK47 (Wasser ?spelling?).

http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h6...AKARXDM005.jpg

And my Smith and Wesson AR15

http://i61.photobucket.com/albums/h6...AKARXDM004.jpg

Sometime in the nearish future i would like to pick up a HK45, got to hold it and it's such a beautiful gun and i want something in .45acp. I would prefer a HK45 to a 1911.

schaffer 04-04-2014 12:57 PM

Good start, now start buying ammo to train.

Lol between the stuff for the vette, the guns, a $7k engagment ring, looking for a house....I'd say so lol.

Had to put down a HK45 and walk away today or I would have bought that too lol.

hammtheman 04-04-2014 08:27 PM

if you like your xdm (i love mine) look into the xds, its a single stack .45 or 9mm so its easier to conceal and makes the gun alot more comfortable the carry

Bought it from a buddy of mine for $500. Got a lot of extra stuff with it.

300zx_tt 04-05-2014 05:30 PM

Just bought a spike's lower and a lpk so the build is on. My first AR-15, I haven't been this excited for a while

hammtheman 04-05-2014 06:54 PM

nice dude. i just finished my lower build i think it took me like 20 mins to slap together. its super super easy

300zx_tt 04-06-2014 10:01 AM

Yeah I had 10 free minutes when I got it home do I started assembly, I'm a little less than half way done I'd say. This is my first AR so I triple checked just about everything haha

nice start to your collection! You have most of your bases covered already... I would add a .22lr rifle (I have a Marlin 795 I picked up for like 100 bucks and have more fun shooting that than some of the expensive guns I have/had.

if you want something in .45, take a look at Sig P220's... I have owned nearly every popular .45 pistol ever made and the P220 is in my opinion one of the nicest, and an old West German example (the older ones are WAY better guns than the new ones) can be had for like $500 bucks. I got mine used, broke it down to inspect... she was dirty but in good shape, since then I put 3000 rounds through her only cleaning one (not even a detailed cleaning just a filed strip and wipe down), and the only FTE I had was with a hand load that was entirely too light.

::edit::

check out the Mojo front peep sight for the AK, makes a world of difference.

CleanNeon98 04-08-2014 02:30 PM

Tech-Sights has a nice offering for the AK as well. I like mine.

HatchSurfer3 04-08-2014 02:32 PM

I need to get a .22 rifle. They are fun to shoot and the ammo being much cheaper adds to the fun since you can shoot more for less.

ambitiousCK 04-08-2014 05:22 PM

Thanks for the input guys.

300zx_tt 04-09-2014 09:05 AM

Spikes lower ~ 100
LPK ~ 70
Magpul k2 grip FDE ~20
