its much easier to use the 2.0. and iirc its forged.

Wish i could find one in good condition for under 4k

XAlliedYouthX 08-10-2007 04:08 PM

You can pick up an S13 chassis with a dead motor for under 1k pretty easy and a motor for around 2k.

easier i can see. but talking to a lot of these kids they build the 2.0 with different internals. why not build the 2.4 with diff internals and use the sr20s ecu and manifolds don't they bolt on?:bigeek: just asking. i dont really know.

on another note looking at my post you quoted i really can't spell for crap!

the SR and KA are completely different animals. Only reason why I said that KA-T is underrated because for a decent price you can piece together a turbo kit and make pretty good power. SR20 is overall a better motor though.

The KA-T is very underrated.
For way less than the amount you spend on swapping an SR you can turbo the KA and make much much more power. A turbo KA also makes much more tq than the sr.
Stock to stock the SR is better than the KA because of better internals and a turbo already on it, but there's a guy named Ivan with a 9 second s14 and a KA-T. I think the KA has just as much potential as the SR.

I agree completely. Plus I'm tired of hearing about "My 240 has an SR20DET". It's like bragging about a B-series swap in a civic...nobody cares.

Cams are going in at R/T so I'm not sure if my car will be drivable. I'll be attending regardless.

the4g63 08-14-2007 12:38 PM

I'll more than likely be there.
