so the AK is still for sale... mojo rear peep sight, fully refinished (the butt stock could use another coat of clear but it looks great as is)
looking for $400 FTF how she started: http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/r...rms/fullak.jpg how she looks now, compared to a stock one on top: http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/r...mparison-1.jpg I have hours upon hours into the AK, she was stripped to parts, cleaned, recleaned and then the wood refinishing was started! pics of the process: parts being cleaned and lubed: http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/r...ms/akparts.jpg http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/r...eBarricade.jpg http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/r...escleaning.jpg http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/r...wercleaned.jpg http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/r...barricaded.jpg http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/r...cktogether.jpg starting the wood work: gunscrubber and aircraft paint remover: http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/r...ngstripped.jpg starting the stain process, the difference is night and day: http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/r...atsofstain.jpg http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/r...recleaning.jpg before and after: http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/r...s/Wood5050.jpg Tapco G2 trigger: http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/r.../G2trigger.jpg also considering selling my S&W 65 K-frame. this gun has a TON of work and a LOT of money invested.. started life as a 4" police trade in, the barrel was cut down to right around 3" and given a beautiful crowning. A 1911 trijicon front sight was dovetailed in. it has an action and trigger job (EXTREMELY light trigger in DA) as well as champfering on the cylinders. the butt was originally squared off, I had it rounded and rubber grips fit, lastly The entire gun was broken down and armor coated a flat black. I am not sure what this is worth... I will include a black desantis leather OWB thumb break holster, a soft case, speed loaders, some HP and practice ammo, etc. The action, trigger, champfering, and crowning work was done by john robinson (a renowned wheel gun gunsmith) I had the trigger lightened to the point that it is EASY to shoot accurately but heavy enough that it will go bang every time.. the barrel shortening, armorcoating, butt rounding and dovetailing the front sight were done by Randy at the handgunner in topton PA (another VERY well know smith) the placement of the front sight is literally PERFECT (they are usually either too far forward on the barrel or too far back... John robinson said he cant remember seeing such a perfect job (and that is some serious praise from one gunsmith to another) a few guys on here (rodder, DC2, svickstc, brian) here have shot this gun as well as the AK and can vouch for how incredible they both shoot! feel free to make an offer on the S&W just keep in mind I am including a 70 dollar holster, as well as some nice accessories and ammo! shows crowning and front site as well as speed loaders: http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/r.../revolver2.jpg http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/r.../revolver3.jpg desantis holster and speed strips: http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/r...olvercarry.jpg champfering: http://i478.photobucket.com/albums/r...revolver-1.jpg I have not listed these on PAFOA yet and im not sure i will.. I dont NEED to sell them but really want to put the money into NFA items.. as jordan says "you (I) have WAY too many semi-auto guns and not nearly enough machine guns" |
What kind of nfa weapons you looking for, ill keep a eye out for some.

Andy -- let us know about April 10th... what time, what to bring (food?), etc. That should be my first weekend off since the last time we all went to CP to shoot, so I'm psyched to get out and do something non-body shop related. lol.
|
Let's do something for the gun show... maybe a caravan down there then shooting after
|
Im toying with getting a C6ZR1 and thinking of unloading a couple of the machineguns I don't pay much attention too, if anyone wants to get into class III or knows anyone looking for clean NFA stuff get ahold of me
Cheapest gun will be $10,000 just FYI |

This is all pending confirmation from my buddy, but time-wise I think 1pm should work. As for food, feel free to bring whatever you want. Burgers, dogs, ribs, brats, steaks, chicken, etc etc. Standard BBQ fare should be fine. If you want to bring something special that takes some prep that is fine as well, as both my buddy and his fiance are avid cooks and love making meals. Oh, we also like beer. Aside from that, bring guns, ammo, and anything that you have that you think would be fun to shoot. |
Got offer this for my GSG.

Can you tell me anything about it? What to look for? What to avoid? Like I said I have no knowledge of these damn things. I'm waiting on pics of it as well.

extremely loose tolerances ****ty sites a grip that is too small for your hand what to look for in an underfolder: a stock that wobbles so much you couldn't possibly ever shoot accurately with it. but seriously... an ak is an ak. make sure it cycles, check the mag release and maybe try a few mags, make sure its 922r compliant, otherwise you should be good to leave it outside for 10 years and have it still work fine afterwords. ::edit:: check for a tapco G2 trigger. also the plastic polymer mags never worked in my underfolder for some reason. |
bah.. you don't know what you're talking about. There's one thing, and one thing only to look for in an AK....
