Munky told me about the correct mags to buy, I ****ed up with that and I just ordered the correct mags. Should I keep the the promags for extra range mags or just get rid of them? I'll keep the magpull mags for at home with the 5.56

Munky 03-14-2011 06:22 PM

If you can't cancel the order then just keep them and try them out. If they work fine...if they don't put them online and someone will probably buy them.

blkZ06 03-14-2011 07:16 PM

can never have too many mags

dont leave the magpul mags at home, you buy them use them

I wish my nightstand had drawers so I could put my 33rnd mag in there. Sadly it's just all glass shelves.

Anyone looking for a great 1911 should check out my buddy Jay's (drifty240) Kimber. It's a real steal for this gun.

Also, that "second handle" is called a vertical fore grip. You'll learn in time, young padawan. ;-)

and below is the most recent method of gripping an AR forearm that is being taught today in special forces:

I shoot in a couple local matches and have transitioned into using magpul afg. P.S. That rifle looks familar :o

AR at the bottom, currently running a 1.5 x 5 cbt scope.

Got my new magazines, rear plate & magazine plate for the Glock 19. Took some pics of everything before installing it. Still waiting on my Lonewolf extended slide release and extended slide lock to come in the mail. Also to show a better comparison of the crayon filled magazines and the stock ones.

I've heard nothing but good about lonewolf products. No first hand experience though.

Dunno I'll tell you when it gets here . I'm also trying to pick up a Glock 23 tomorrow from a guy on PAFOA if we can get our schedules to meet up. If not then it'll probably be one day next week. Also considering trading my Sig P229 for a worked over IDPA ready Gen3 Glock 22 RTF2 with a ton of accessories.

I just picked up a new Gen.4 Glock 19 for a CCW and range gun. I thought I was going to like the 26 more because of size, but the 19 fit my hand a lot better. Went to 4 different stores and talked to all the salespeople, then went last night and rented one at Classic Pistol, did some good shots with it and took the plunge. Want to replace the sight to a 3-dot, the stock sight throws me off like nothing else.

Quick question: USP vs P2000

I don't care about weight. Which one and why?

Erik@R/TTuning 03-17-2011 10:41 AM

I haven't posted much to this thread but I have a few toys that I try to take out on a weekly basis.

9mm CZ SP-01 Phantom
http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k1...-01Phantom.jpg
I have thousands of rounds through this pistol and I love it to death.

.22 GSG5
http://i87.photobucket.com/albums/k1...DSM/GSG-5a.jpg
I probably have 10,000 trouble free rounds through this carbine. Since this picture I have swapped to a Magpul AFG instead of the VFG.

I typically shoot at Target World in Chalfont during the winter on Friday nights or in Upper Black Eddy during the summer.

You cannot go wrong with an HK of any kind, especially those two. Go try them out. There are an infinite number of debates and comparisons between the two that you can Google for, but really it's just a matter of preference. The P2000 has interchangeable backstraps for a more customizable fit, but they really are very similar. A friend of mine shot just about every modern HK and narrowed it down with USP vs. P2000. He shot both, in all variants and in all sizes, and decided on the P2000SK based mostly on size. I went with him that day and shot the rental P2000SK and loved it. It's very small, but a real nice shooter. Like I said though, it's mainly personal preference.

Renegade_ 03-17-2011 11:16 AM

Yeah - I've shot my friends USP 9mm before (put a TON of rounds through that thing and it never jammed once), but never shot a P2k so I really don't know how to compare them other than look at images online and read the million and one comparisons which mean nothing because no local ranges have one for me to shoot. The last AR-15 I shot jammed more than the USP haha (crappy ammo).

Im thinking 9mm for the time being - I've shot a .40 and .45 before but I think its overkill, plus 9mm is cheaper and since Ill be doing range stuff exclusively, that should be plenty. Im guessing there is tons of aftermarket for the USP platform?

CleanNeon98 03-17-2011 11:22 AM

Do any of you guys shoot at Classic Pistol?
