i'm not even close to being in the mood to f**k.
A few days ago I noticed a rattle in my mr2 that got worse as the rpms went higher. I was driving it back to my hometown today (about an hour from where I live) since I have a garage to work on it there. When I left the oil was at a good level. On the way home I saw white steam/smoke coming through my vents. The temp gauge read normal, but I don't think there's any way it was right. The car shut off and I coasted to a stop. When I checked the oil it was low. I added 2 1/2 quarts to get it to read on the dipstick again so it burned through a ton of oil. When I tried to start it, it wouldn't turn over. I'm 99.99% sure it's seized.

DPancoast 06-28-2009 06:09 PM

after thinkin about it and talking to some people, if you were 2 1/2 quarts low you most likely fried bearings, if not worse.

3rdGenMr2Girl 06-28-2009 06:11 PM

it burned so much oil it's unbelieveable. i made a point to check it before i left because it wasn't running awesome and it was full.

what?

The Captain 06-28-2009 06:36 PM

All i have in my fridge is 6 chicken thighs and beer and then liqueur in the freezer. Got nothing to season it with, so i'm cooking my chicken in a brandy and dos equis amber broth. We'll see if this is any good.
