Very true. I'm broke right now... simply because i'm saving for a townhouse. i could be saving for house/car.... but i do need SOME money to do stuff (movies, out to eat...)

Erik 06-25-2009 03:51 PM

i pretty devote half my paycheck to saving, rest goes to bills, mods, food. in the order. lol

crazyduckme 06-25-2009 03:55 PM

LOL that's funny. I just got a new higher paying job... so most of that is heading straight into my savings. I'm thinking even 75% of it.

Erik 06-25-2009 03:57 PM

im not making much at all. ive been on the hunt for a few and better job. I dont neccesarily need more money (although it would be nice) but id like to just simply be happier with what i do/where i work

Erik 06-25-2009 04:00 PM

I definitely needed more pay. I'm moving into a place that is $1300 a month and that's without Cable, Internet and stuff. I also have cell phone bill, car insurance, car payment, and health insurance. not fun being in the real world.

RSX Type-Slow 06-25-2009 04:03 PM

thats like 1700 a month on bills.

wayy to much rent just buy a house

crazyduckme 06-25-2009 04:08 PM

Yeah, in my dreams. I'd rather have a house then a townhome.

Erik 06-25-2009 04:09 PM

/belch

Oakes 06-25-2009 04:13 PM

save more and buy a house, simple as that.

crazyduckme 06-25-2009 04:14 PM

Problem is.... I need to move out of my parents house NOW. NEED.

RSX Type-Slow 06-25-2009 04:15 PM

ahhhh been there. done that.

thank god i did

crazyduckme 06-25-2009 04:18 PM

exactly.

Erik 06-25-2009 04:20 PM

i love crunching numbers and realizing that i forgot to take in consideration some. Im not strapped for cash this week like i thought i was. whatta relief. lol

but wen i say strapped for cash, i still have atleast a couple hundred dollars of spendable money. Is anyone else like that?

RSX Type-Slow 06-25-2009 04:22 PM

i think moving into a townhouse is a bad idea. you can get a nice one bedroom apt for wayy less than 1300, and still be able to save for a house. plus if this is your first time living on your own, the money needed for groceries, furniture, pots/pans, etc. adds up really quickly.

just my .02

Elliott18t 06-25-2009 04:23 PM

I need to stop going out for food :( lol.
Couple friends and I might move out soon.

crazyduckme 06-25-2009 04:24 PM

I am moving into a 2 bedroom townhome with my boyfriend. we're pretty much splitting everything anyway. We already have furniture, tv's, dishes, glasses... everything really but food (which wouldnt be a problem). My boyfriend and I are pretty picky when it comes to living someplace. We definitely need more than a one bedroom though, cause we have so much stuff (and want to have a guestroom for friends if they stay over).

RSX Type-Slow 06-25-2009 04:25 PM

moving out with friends is a good idea. but be warned, you really get to know your friends once you live with them.

i've ruined a friendship living with a friend, but have turned good friends into great friends also by living together
