Depends on a bunch of factors. The springs came wear out but it takes lots of rounds going through it. The compression and decompression is what wears them out. You can leave them loaded to full capacity and not have to worry about it.

Dropping them shouldn't be an issue as long as you're not slamming them on concrete. I've used mags that have been dropped, kicked, stepped on you name it and they still function.

That being said, you can never have enough mags.

I did see that, funny how he says hes going to turn in the ar15 to the police but says nothing about the 1911.

A military style weapon? Yea, I found that interesting too. He'd get a kick out of my Five seveN... Hi capacity "clip" "armor piercing" rounds, bayonete, the whole nine yards

Yep, took it to the range yesterday! I need to spend more time there to get the iron sights dialed in, but I have too much homework to do.

~Brian~ 03-10-2013 08:04 PM

Does anybody have any idea what this is? I't on the inside of my upper receivers feed ramps... it can't be rust after only 80 rounds, can it?

http://i.imgur.com/HVxM080.jpg

HaveBlue83 03-10-2013 08:59 PM

thats brass. clean it lol

schaffer 03-10-2013 09:19 PM

Make sure you lube it properly. I use mobile 1 full synthetic on mine and it runs like a top.

~Brian~ 03-10-2013 09:35 PM

After cleaning it up a bit, I realized that it was either brass or the coating on the upper was wearing. I'm just surprised to see it already, as I've only put 80 rounds through the gun.

cmr076 03-10-2013 09:40 PM

It looks like you're running dirty ammo, was it wolf or something?

~Brian~ 03-10-2013 09:59 PM

It was PMC Bronze.. I'm surprised that it made such a mess.

InfiniteMotors 03-10-2013 10:18 PM

A little brass scrapings never hurt anybody!

Anyone looking for or know someone looking for a light/laser? Sold my glock this week and have a TLR-2 laying around that needs a home Attachment 19162

slowZ 03-12-2013 08:45 PM

^^^^ how much and is it universal for all glocks I don't know if they are different from one another or not

schaffer 03-12-2013 09:18 PM

Depends on what Glock. The 9/40/357 sig frames are a different size from the 45auto/10mm ones.

Finally got an AR, just in time for the assault rifle ban to fail and the prices to come down. Wound up getting a Windham Weaponry SRC-NY NJ compliant version(also it was the only one within 50 miles that was in stock). Looks like this, but without the OMG-HI-CAP-CLIP!!!

http://www.windhamweaponry.com/images/rifles/SRC-L.jpg. Hopefully I'll have a range review this weekend(would love to test out a few other gun mods that I did this winter).

Nice, congrats!

On a related note, I am putting optics on my AR. The iron sights are nice, but I want to be able to see my target past 50 yards haha
Nothing fancy, just a Redfield 4/12 x 40mm with the accr-range reticle. I did however purchase a LaRue LT104 scope mount. Both are in the mail now, so I'll post pics when they come in.

This is literally against the law.

(2) Nothing in this subsection shall be construed to prohibit a political subdivision from bringing or maintaining an action against a firearms or ammunition manufacturer or dealer for breach of contract or warranty as to firearms or ammunition purchased by the political subdivision.

(b) Definitions.--As used in this section, the following words and phrases shall have the meanings given to them in this subsection:

I had one of my fabricators (Joey/rocknrace) make me a steel shooting target, I LOVE this thing! Should have it done next week and I will be sending lead towards it next weekend! If anyone needs one shoot him a pm, for $85 it is the best option out there! (Gun stores sell similar ones for 150-170) the best part is, he made it so the post is removable in case it gets shot.

Shoot him a PM if you're interested. I'm sure he'd make another one.

~Brian~ 03-23-2013 02:47 PM

Already did. By chance, do you know the dimensions of the plate?

I want to say 18"

~Brian~ 03-23-2013 05:23 PM

Ah, okay. It looks bigger. I got a response from him and I think he will be able to make one. I asked if he could make one that was maybe closer to 30".

He said something about larger rifle calibers making it come off of the stand, what were you shooting at it?

What kind of steel? If it's not AR500 or similar it won't last very long, and you'll have to make sure it's at a distance that would make it impossible for shrapnel to fly back at you. You also really have to make sure you have tall barriers on either side of the target downrange, it will throw a lot of riccochets. Mild steel chips a lot and it will get beat up fast.

The club Steve and I shoot at has steel targets already and they seem to be holding up just fine at 15 yards. Worst case it gets destroyed and I out a new one on.
