I'm sure the cop would be thrilled to see that if you got pulled over... haha

wish i had a registered sear, that's a sick set up! :inlove:

99corvette 02-25-2013 01:47 PM

First time I was pulled over in my tbss I had a trunk full of firearms including two transferable mp5s. Everything is legal so no worries.

Haha I'm use to it, I still look like I'm a teenager, you should see the looks I get at ranges when law enforcement there too, its priceless.

Hey guys, I'm getting close to being done with my AR build but my pmag order still hasn't come in yet..

I just need 1 mag to start shooting with... does anybody have a Gen3 pmag with a window that they would be willing to sell me?

Picked up 500 rounds of 147 gr 9mm for 150. Not to bad.

~Brian~ 03-02-2013 12:40 AM

Everything I need to finish the build is in the mail... I'll have a completed AR in about two weeks! #excited

The Army and Navy in Whitehall, PA? I was the guy the clerk was talking to! lol

DC2.2GSR 03-03-2013 10:41 PM

i wouldn't go back either. I won't buy any ammo from anyone gouging prices, no matter what. I don't care how in demand the stuff is, it's unacceptable. PAFOA, gunbroker, and all other forums' classifieds sections are pretty much a comedy show the last few months. A perfect example, a new thread popped up a half hour ago, a guy selling a box of 50 American Eagle 115 grain for $25. lol. I can't believe the stupidity of some people. Walmart might not get it in stock that often but at least they won't jack up the prices. 600 rounds of winchester 9mm FMJ the other day at $24/100 round box works great for me. It might be rare but you just have to keep checking and you'll eventually find all calibers on the shelf at some point for normal prices.

Sigforum bans gougers! It's my favorite forum anyways, that's just icing on the cake.

I completely agree, but I had to buy the ammo there. There isn't any to be found out in State College and it would be completely pointless to have the AR that I just spent over 2K to build if I don't have any ammo to shoot out of it.

I'm very interested in buying in bulk online, like 500 to 1,000 rounds. If anybody has info on that, I would really appreciate it.

:bigeek: Hell I would have sold you mine for $1500

~Brian~ 03-05-2013 12:14 AM

Haha, thanks but I've been wanting to build my own for long time now. After all of the parts come in and I get it assembled, I'll post pics and a parts list. Then you'll see how I spent that much money lol

I just can't believe pricing these days. I know what was in my gun when I got it and by today's pricing it would easily be over $2000 and it still just blows my mind.

~Brian~ 03-05-2013 10:01 PM

I know what you mean. Except for going about $40 over retail on my barrel, I bought everything for retail price or below. Except for the magazines, but there wasn't anything I could do about that.

Plus the fact that 2000 would have gotten you an lwrc or something of that caliber for the same price 6 months ago!

~Brian~ 03-05-2013 10:28 PM

Maybe I should add it all up again to make sure I didn't mess up the calculation haha

InfiniteMotors 03-05-2013 11:09 PM

Speaking of overpriced mags, Brian did your mag get there today?

:-p

~Brian~ 03-05-2013 11:59 PM

Haha, didn't see it yet. Will probably show up tomorrow

glad i bought my colt when it was 1100 and not 2500.

99corvette 03-06-2013 08:49 AM

Prices on items are starting to slowly come back down to normal, other then ammo and magazines. But if you do keep a eye out you can get pmags for regular cost. Its only a matter of time before those items start to drop as well. I haven't bought anything during these crazy times other then some magazines at cost and a few other items at a local auction that I made out very well.

99corvette 03-06-2013 12:04 PM

My dog Chaos and my fathers Colt 6933 m4. Its marked L.E. and m4 which they no longer mark like that, kinda cool. Fitted with a knights armament quad rail and Acog. This is a older picture when he first got it. It now has a AAC brakeout flash suppressor and ergo grip.

Not yet. I spoke to somebody at LaRue and they said the shipment of PMAGS should be arriving soon. Also, I got somebody to give me a decent price on gen 3 window'd pmags on ar15.com.

Just remember, two is one and one is none.

~Brian~ 03-07-2013 12:18 AM

Do they really break that easily?

SHOdude 03-07-2013 01:10 AM

New gun store in Trappe PA had some mags and really decently priced used guns.

Can never have enough mags. They do wear out.

In general though, what is the life expectancy of a pmag?

I honestly can't answer this question. I will say I have never had any issues with pmags what so ever.

~Brian~ 03-07-2013 12:23 PM

Ah, okay. I figured they would last for a while. I won't be doing anything extreme, so I doubt anything will happen to them. I'm still hoping that LaRue order comes in soon though. I want to have more than 3 mags in case one or two break
