i knew too many people fighting to stay ALIVE to have any sympathy for someone who takes their own life. Life sucks, the key is being able to deal with it. And if you can't then i'm sorry but I have no sympathy for you. I agree with ken, his friends and family i do have sympathy for, but not for him.

grimm... its the difference between a weak heart, weak kidney, or a weak mental state... and none of them are something that anyone asks for or brings on themself. Telling people they just need to deal and get over it is kind of like telling someone they need to suck it up and get over their lung cancer or their brain damage on their own.
They all need a doctor to fix... I understand why its easy to take your POV and why so many people end up there, but I don't think its looking at the big picture. |
we got these sweet cookies in our vending machine, it's the best deal too... like a dozen cookies for a buck :)

I lived with a manic depressant, he tried committing suicide 3 times within the year i lived with him. I fought him to the ground the first time, then called an ambulance and his family. I wasn't around for the 2nd time, but the third time i was woken up by EMT's and police in my apt, with one in my bed room with a flash light looking around for anyone else (me). I came out to the living room to find my room mate on the floor getting worked on by the EMT's. After they took him to the hospital I had to call his family once again and tell them their son tried to kill himself again. Trust me that was not a fun experience, but i would like to think that he was dealing with some "real" depression as you call it. on a side note, if "they" can't make rational decisions they need to be under constant supervision, or should be placed into a hospital where they give adequate care for those individuals, but again, i don't think we know why "said" person committed suicide, but being that they had a job and lived on their own i would tend to think they were of enough sound mind to make "rational decisions" |
anyway....
