Question...what did you do about the dry spots left from the crayon? It's hard to see in my pics but there are little circles of dry spots from where some of the wax is still left over. No matter how much I rub my microfiber across it or my silicone rag I can still see them. Any suggestions?

i actually used a dishrag and used a decent amount of pressure. If that doesn't work try a towel or cloth thats a little coarser

Seriously... that's something that you hang on to.. My when my grandfather passed away, my mother took his Marlin Model 60. Never shot it once or even knew what it looked like until this past summer when I lived with her in Vermont. I found it, cleaned it up and literally begged to take it with me to PA but she refused to give it up. She will never shoot it, but because it belonged to her father, she says I won't get it until she passes (which I hope is a long ways away, obviously)

Oh, and I think it is absolutely hilarious that we are all adults and still are playing with crayons.... let's put together a TST gun coloring meet! lol

I was just talking to him about it and he said he got it when he was 12 so it has to be before 1975 manufactured date, i wish i could figure out more with the serial but cant seem to have any luck

Ill snap some pics of it tonight, im sure you guys can appreciate the condition of this classic

and munky maybe try some alcohol

Edit: hard finding crayons in your house when your 21 haha

Yeah dude definitely keep that thing. Especially if it's that old. Whether or not its worth a lot it's got some sweet family sentimental value I'm sure.

:bs: I'm 29 and found an entire drawer full of crayons, markers, color pencils, & chalk.......................in my son's room.

Ya I mean the more i think about it the more likely i would just keep it, i just wanted to get some more info on it since when i looked it up i was kinda shocked to see the value of the gun....

I just took a white crayon to my 33 rounders as an experiment and they turned out great will be doing all my magazines now....

Crayons to your guns is like the fitment fade haha

Not really. I've been seeing Glock's done like this for 12+ years since I've owned guns. A lot of people before tho went to an actual gunsmith to have them inlay-ed.:o
